Because Sakura is a main character. When you're comparable to an underdeveloped irrelevant side character (Hinata), that speaks a thousand words.

It's pretty obvious that I'm not a huge Sakura fan, but I agree with you completely Hinata is easily the worst female character in the anime the only reason Sakura gets more hate is because she has a louder more abrasive personality, but atleast Sakura can manage a declarative sentence.
