The point is that he needs a good eye in order to avoid other people's counter attack, without his sharringan he can't read people's movements and may die in combat for that reason while trying to stab someone.

sharingan gives him the ability to predict the enemies movement before they make it and react accordingly.!!

but without his sharingan, with kakashi running at that speed he is really vulnerable to couterattack/attacks/response...i think this is what Minato said when kakashi first used his chidori.!!

Raikiri should be used with sharigan else it can backfire

His Raikiri/Chidori is an imperfect jutsu now. W/o the Sharingan he can't see or remember those blind spots.
