Thank you for completely ignoring my point again. Itachi's job was to infiltrate Akatsuki, not fight them and he did not directly capture any of the jinchurikis. He likely did not possess the powers or skills to take them all on at once, what's more Pein. And in the end, he almost killed Obito.

Because they all possessed the sharingan with the ultimate genjutsu and ability to copy most other jutsu. If you find out there is going to be a coup, what's more an unprovoked one, most governments would take action rather than just let it happen and ignite a huge war, killing thousands and leaving the country in ruin and vulnerable to other nations.

Sasuke he spared simply because he could not kill his brother whom he loved more than his mission and village.

The Uchiha's hate would only have grown and they would have escaped, gained more power in their eyes from their emotions and formed a huge alliance to start the coup all over again. They did not require leaders. More would have risen as the Uchiha are all defined as geniuses. Sasuke, Shisui and Itachi on their own had the power to wipe out the village.

Assuming they would have died. Kabuto was in control of Edo Itachi and Nagato before KA was cast. Just because he could use their powers doesn't mean he could effectively wield them.

His job was to infiltrate Akatsuki and kill the leader, not fight all of them, which he likely would not have been able to do. Had he not been convincing, he would not have been able to infiltrate them.

As I stated, it would have happened with or without his involvement. He delayed it for ten years. He had no control over Madara or Kabuto's actions and knew little to nothing of them. He believed Obito was Madara. Had he killed Obito, Madara would still have returned due to Kabuto. Itachi defeated Kabuto and released Edo Tensei, effectively saving the whole alliance of thousands who helped to defeat Obito. He also sealed Orochimaru before he could take over Sasuke and reboot his would conquest.

You require all or pieces of all the bijuus to resurrect the juubi. Itachi's agreement with Obito wasd that he would not lay a hand on Konoha while Itachi was sent to get the Kyuubi, however he did not, when he likely could have. He also tried to kill Obito before he could obtain all the bijuus.
konoha was barely a blimp on akatsukis radar. so in what way did he delay the war?
