But the neutralizer technique is fan fiction and complete malarky

This isn't why it failed, its because he tried to summon the 4th Hokage aswell, who was in the belly of the death god. We can deduce this due to the fact there had been 4 hokages at that point, one was the opponent, 2 got summoned, 1 fizzled, it fits thematically.

Hiruzen let Danzo run rampant while he was Hokage, Danzo is the reason for have the crap in Naruto going south lol he's no bad-ass. He's tired old crone who couldn't stop Oro initially, prevent danzo from sabotaging every hidden village treaty, and was absolutely useless during the Kyuubi attack.

...NO citation to state the technique as fact. It is not a tech, it was a fluke. He thought he stopped it, but in the end it was the fact that Minato's Soul was sealed away inside the Shinigami's Stomach that prevented Orochimaru from Using Edo Tensei on Minato at the time. We should all KNOW this. There is no "Neutralizer". Not even Narutopedia supports this trash. And if someone does add this, the powers that be removes it like the Spanish Inquisition.
