2. Chidori is just a failed attempt to add a nature release to rasengan, naruto can produce yoton rasenshurikens now so it's redundant.

It's possible, because he only has one affinity chakra nature right now. Most powerful characters have more than one, so it wouldn't be surprising if he gained another. He can use magma and magnet release due to the biju, but that's only while they are with him in speculation and I don't believe any of them posses that affinity. Plus, if he could use chidori he would just combine it with rasengan to make a new variant. Same old same old.

chidori is weak anyway wouldnt be more effective than rasengan it would be cool if he used sum sand jutsus or fire with wind jutsus to cover a wide radius he should have plenty of moves but he only uses one
