I know this thread will cause some level of "butthurt", but do keep in mind that every point I make is backed up by a manga fact. I'll also try to keep things concise.
Let's first address a common misconception. Because FTG is instant, people also incorrectly assume that user also instantaneous. This is not true.
Here's how it actually works:
Now onto analyzing Minato's reaction feats with FTG...
Minato barely escapes Obito who is using Kamui at less than full-speed. There is some significance in this, but this fact is often overlooked.
"Whoever strikes a split-second earlier will win." This statement highlights the limitations of Minato's reaction speed. On their next encounter, if Obito managed to touch Minato first it would have been game over. Minato cannot react to instantaneous attacks or a full-speed Kamui by his own admission.
Teenage Bee is so quick that he can intercept Minato before he can land a blow on the Raikage.
If Minato had a faster reaction speed he would have hit the Raikage instead of Bee's tentacle.
Fans of Minato glorify his reflexes and yet, he is completely taken by surprise by base Naruto's punch.
The common argument here is that Minato did not expect to get punched. But the ironic thing about that argument is that it also means Minato cannot react well to unexpected events. You could say that his reflexes aren't as great as fans claim it to be.
An interesting comparison, probably created by an Itachi fan. Here we see Teenage Bee intercepting Minato after he used FTG again.
Adult Bee on the other hand is caught of guard by someone else using their own raw speed.
This only further demonstrates what level Minato's reaction speed is at.
Sage Mode enhanced Minato interrupts Madara but is still unable to hit him. In fact, Minato is so outclassed in terms of reaction speed, that Madara is able to cut of his arm, kick his arm, and then kick his whole body. Minato is unable to warp away or respond to any of this.
The counter argument here is that "Madara is too fast for anyone". Eight Guy proved this statement wrong. Naruto proved this wrong.
Sasuke, in particular, also proved this wrong, as he was so quick that he was able to cut Madara in half with his foot-speed.
It's not that Madara was too fast. Minato fans simply did not want to accept that Minato was too slow even with the Sage Mode speed buff.
Hitting Zetsu at point-blank range proves to be a difficult task for the Yellow Flash. The scan here pretty much speaks for itself.
Fans can make up all the excuses they want, but in the face of hard facts it is worthless. If Minato was as fast some people claim I wouldn't be able to create such an analysis thread. I have seen some people resorting to arguments along the lines of "Kishi had to nerf Minato" which is borderline laughable -- am I supposed to believe you can read Kishi's mind?
As a final reminder, I acknowledge that FTG is instant. I also acknowledge that Minato's reaction speed is above fodder-level. But as the evidence has demonstrated, his reaction speed is clearly not above top-tier level.

Here's how it actually works:
- FTG itself instant.
- The time it takes to activate the jutsu is not instant.
- The time it takes to hit an opponent is not instant.
