If you hype something up for more then 8 years, then do it
I mean this chapter was awsome i was hyped while reading it, but the guy part still bugs me
It would have been much better if he would have died , dont understand me wrong i like him but this makes his Flashbacks etc. useless and unimportant

I don't think Gai will be able to continue as a ninja,frankly speaking.
Since he hasn't got his heroic death(I am actually kinda happy he is still alive), he must have sacrificed something.
I just hope it isn't like he suffers a lot of pain instead of dying.
He might be confined to a wheelchair or something,so I guess then the flashbacks won't all be in vain...

I think kishi see gai as his DAD and he protected him from death through naruto unlike the real world in which his father died.

Well honestly, kishi's dad's death should not effect the manga, but sadly it is.

Gai should have died totally, but its his manga, and manga is basically a way for him to express his opinions so if he wants gai(his DAD) to live , then whats wrong with it...

Miracles do happen , at least they can happen in the manga.
There is no logical explanation for gai not dying, just kishi's wishful thinking.

I just wrote this so that you can understand why gai didn't die.
I think u would feel less bad about gai not dying now.

And if he had died, considering your level of objectivity, you probably would have complained it was predictable instead.

a) The reason of the flashback: Suspense
b) His feet never vanished, his bone cracked, that's all
c) Your problem with english doesn't have anything to do with users being cocky or not, don't shield yourself (and you're pretty good as I can read).

Finally: This is a shounen manga. You should expect that massive death of important characters were not meant to happen.

Listen to Cauzing. What good is it if you get all crazy about something and it doesn't happen? I won't believe it until I see it. I'm pretty sure Guy will only live long enough to have his last words with Kakashi and Lee, beyond that I'm not sure. I'm not going to comment on Guy not dieing until I know 100% he in fact is going to survive.

I knew he wouldn't due to the subtle hints Kishimoto put in each chapter.

The flashbacks were not of Guy's life but of how he came to learn of the gates. The other flashback was of Kakashi admitting Guy was better than him.

I became suspicious when he opened the 8th gate and just seemed to keep going when death should have been sooner by implication.

Kishimoto having Guy do crazy training sessions and constantly building up his body to near invincible allowed him to withstand the extreme pain from opening the final gate. He was even able to adjust to the pain.

When Guy was about to use his final attack, it switched to Naruto waking up. The next chapter was Naruto telling the sage he would protect his friends and is granted the power to do so, then he arrives just as Guy is about to die.

Unlike Neji's sudden impalement, Guy's expected death was dragging on too long.

Add Naruto saying he can change anything and he proves he can do it. Gaara should have died but Naruto helped bring him back to life, now Guy is alive when he should have died too. Despite the expected hype of the 8th gate, it's not different from Gaara.

I want to say Guy stll might die, but Naruto kind of shuts that up by saying he'll live and he doesn't know why, but he just knows.

btw an chapter which wasted my life was the talk no jutsu which naruto handled against the one person who was responsible for the death of his parents, because of an 13 year old girl
