AWSOME CHAPTER but i think you guys are right Gai should die a honorable warriors death.
man ive been a naruto fan since the first show/manga i hope the next chapter is good

I liked the chapter and, unlike most people, I appreciate flashbacks because it really adds some dimension to a lot of the characters that we didn't get to see grow up. The only thing I don't like about the chapter was how short it felt. I finished the chapter so quick I thought I accidentally skipped a few pages at first.

You gotta give credit to Madara, he can even smile when he acknowledges that he was almost killed. It's great for Guy that even a villain like Madara acknowledges his ability with taijutsu. Even Kakashi who pretty much took Guy for granted realized his father was right about him.

Guy is in bad shape, I don't think even Naruto is capable of saving him, he might have just prolonged his life long enough to give his final words to his friends. I can't imagine Guy wanting to live with those injuries. It must be painful beyond belief.

I wonder if Obito sent just Naruto back or if he and Sakura came back too. If Obito did come back he will be weaker again because he gave the bijuu to Naruto. Black Zetsu will probably give Madara his other eye now. Which will give the now weakened Madara enough power to put up a good fight against Naruto and Sasuke. I would imagine when Obito dies he will give his Sharingan to Kakashi to replace the one he's going blind in.

Just a thought here, but Obito has definitely been using his sharingan a lot more than Kakashi. I feel like Obito's eye is in just as bad, if not worse, shape than Kakashi's.

Great chapter! I think it makes sense that Gai isn't going to die, his objective was to kill Madara and he couldn't do it even with the 8 gates ergo it would have been a pointless death. The flashback was alright I guess, could have been more condensed. Very cool seeing Naruto and Sasuke finally awaken with those sun and moon signs on their hands. THE NIGHT GAI WAS AMAZING. He totally tanked Madara. 8 Gate Gai is literally one of if not the strongest person we've seen in combat. His technique literally messed up the place and crashed Madara all the way to the tree! Naruto coming to kick that black orb last minute was awesome (Same pose when he kicked Gaara in Part I anyone?) And finally I am glad to say Naruto did not get the rinnegan!

Pretty awesome. Glad to know that Gai will live. Doesn't seem like many others agree, however. Oh well.

I'm glad he isn't dead, but at the same time I am dissapointed that he didn't die. Does that make sense?

OT: I give this Chapter 4/5 The chapter as a whole rocked! A bit slow, but the whole Gai not dying was what kept me from giving it a perfect 5. Gai truly soloed here and Naruto and Sasuke's "awakening" is pretty epic as was Naruto's entrance. BSM in base form? You know Naruto has got power now. I'm actually excited to see what Sasuke brings to the table as well.

Overall I enjoyed this chapter very much

I guess guy should of started with night moth. Might of made the attack last longer since he was almost out of chakra or life for that matter. Atleast its settled that gai is strongest in taijutsu even though A and tsunade went all out againts a weaker edo madara. This chapter also prooves that madara likes to gamble. Its obvious that naruto will pull the bijuu out of madara wich will be simple now that he is weakened thanks to gai. I realy want to know what sasuke will do. Madara is pretty much done for so who's the next villain?

Great Chapter. I have been craving these last few chapters. I hate that I read them as soon as they come out as then I have to wait till the next week to see more. blahhh:Omg:

Hand symbols are interesting. I agree that Gai, if he survives, will be one of those elders who is held in the highest regard, but will certainly not fight anymore. If he does pass, it will be within the next few chapters, in order to give lee/kakashi some panel time to say goodbye(mabye?).

What I found really interesting is on page 3 on the manga, they show the symbols on Naruto and Sasukes back. Then they show their hands and the symbols on their hands. If you look closely you'll notice that the sun and moon symbol thats imprinted on their hands are also hidden in their clan symbol on their backs. I mean I think Kishi was really trying to point that out on that pane. The round white sun can be found in the Uzumaki symbol, the dark moon can be found in the Uchiha symbol.

OK. This is whvillia 's going to happen. Madara can heal like hell because of hashirama cells and biju mode. He practically let guy land his hit. His arrogance is his downfall. Naruto will defeat him with ninja tools and his new power.
I think kishi will continue the plot with sasuke and orochimaro. Oro Is the final villian and he will use sauke to fight naruto. I am happy that gai lived. He bought valuable time for everyone.
I just do not understand the kill thirsty threads asking for his death ....people amaze me sometimes.

The ending was absolute bull shit! Gai needs to die, to bring him back would be a dumb ****ing move on Kishi's part. Two more disappointing chapters and I am quitting Naruto.
