I genuinely believe that some people on this site do not understand the manga. When I say this I don't mean the concepts like sharigan, jutsu, etc. I mean on a very fundamental literary level. They whine and moan about repetition and Kishimoto's writing without considering that this is his technique. Repetition is a literary element people. It is used to enhance righting. A major theme of the manga is the impact of the past on the present and visa versa. The repitition of character motives and character ideals is intentional. Obito and Naruto for instance. Both share similar ideals in there pursuit of the Homage title and their overwhelming love for their friends. This was no mistake. Kishi set the stage for a heart heart intentionally. The same can be said for team dynamics. Minato's Squad and Kakashi's squad all had the same personality. Kakashi's squad and #Sarutobi's squad had the same conflicts and personalities as well. None of this is a mistake. It is all to drive the story he wants to create. The Jiraiya, Naruto relationship would be very different if not for the parallels in the personalities of both Oro and Sasuke and Jiraiya and Naruto. We see the repetition again in this chapter with the reincarnation idea presented by Hagorama to Naruto with respect to Ashura. I don't think I need to say much more. No one should disrespect Kishi because they don't understand his writing style.
P. S.
For those who whine about the manga going to shit and Kishimoto sucking at writing I say this. The man has been doing this for over a decade if I'm not mistaken and yet still even though you whine and ***** every day or week if that's you're sauce you are here on this site reading, botching I'll be it, but you are here none the less. The man has done what he intended.
