In Hindu mythology Ashura or Asura means the demons or bad people ... Or it has much more deep meaning when it comes to spirituality . The people who think world and worldly is true and endure and find joy in it. Indra is the leader of Hindu gods. Sometime he is called as devendra meaning the "devnam indra" - deva means god in Sanskrit. Indra is also considered as mind. It is some times say that the one who controlled "Indriyam vishayam " Can feel spirituality and cut the attachment to worldly matters.

I love when Naruto makes derpy faces. The story Madara told about Kaguya made it feel like she was just a human but Hagoromo pretty much confirmed she was a space alien bunny.

Sage actully has a brother. I think that it may be possible that Jubbi ccurrntly sealed inside Madara is only half of original. Probably other half[ which was sealed inside sage's bro] is still sealed somewhere .
Also last panel with elder son with Susano. And younger with kubbi chakra it looks like it

Omg guys SO6P!!! That's some cray cray stuff right there! I was so happy to finally see his face. Guys the SO6Ps bro looks like Maradra!! Sasuke is the obvious reincarnation of the older brother. I bet he's gonna get Rinnegan cause Kabuto is giving him Hashi cells. Now that the sage has a brother that adds to the plot which might make the series a bit longer. Yayy=D lol when I looked fast I thought the sage was the 3rd hokageXD

My prediction and my unwillingness in the discussion for previous chapter are shattered...

Hagoromo has a brother... another cunning idea of Kishi for we to wonder whether the Brother is ancestor of Uzumaki or Hyuga. Or that two Kumogakure brothers-somewhat related to the Sage's lineage-it was said the Juubi was sealed in two pieces. There is another possibility-the Brother made the same as Minato?

The Mother really look like the Reaper Demon, I noticed that she and her elder grandchild have two circle like Indians (not Americans) and the Kagyua clan-another reference to Indian culture. The Sage himself have a "Third Eye"...

For the names of the Sage's childs and their meaning, which are incompatible with their ideals, actions and legacy - it is another reference to Yin and Yang halves in one person.

awesome chapter the sage of freakin six paths also i said a long time ago that the sage may have had help in fighting the juubi which was true.

loved the interaction between the sage and naruto was damn funny.

lots of info was given out the chapter was pretty lengthy also and i love how the sage is using the water to show naruto the past its a nice change from the useurall black, flashback panels

Adding to all your theories, i think that while sage is explaining all the stuff to naruto, he is also explaining the same to sasuke. It is obvious that sasuke is the reincarnation of elder son, Indra, so sage might want his sons' reincarnations to co-operate and end this war.. so in some chapters i guess we might see sasuke meeting sage...
