Seriously though, what form was the younger brother taking in that battle? he was clearly a bijuu of some type but which one. Also why was it all energy like naruto's and not physical? Curious... Also we learned that madara has one part of the staff, and obito had the other. 2 different sides

I was just getting this feeling that during naruto vs Sasuke the fight will end similarly how it did vs obito. And naruto will convince Sasuke that he got so strong through cooperating w his comrades and Sasuke and that hopefully he can try to gain Sasukes cooperation. And that seems like it will happen

Yeesss! I knew it was the Sage but I wished there was the 9 Tailed beasts there! Two sages united and passing down to Naruto!but still at 5! I'm pumped! I'm guessing Sasuke will get the power of the eyes and then Naruto gets everyone's trust and "co-operation" just like the bijuus!

At first I was like OMG THE SAGE OF SIX PATHS!!! But then after the initial shock it all felt really slow. Seriously we spent the majority of the first half with the so6p trying to decide how to talk to Naruto and the rest talking about stuff we already knew! I was really hoping for at least a little Guy action. 2/5

Also in Hindu mythology, Asuras are the demons and Indra is the king of the Devas, the good people. Kishimoto ****ed up his history, eh?

And i must say, i kinda liked this chapter.

I dont think kishi would mess up like that. Usually he has his mythology straight.

If you must remember, the sage said that asura was the bad son and indra was the good son. Just over time the sage chose the asura son.

Asura is human path if i recall, and Deva is god path. This also further makes sense, with the naruto is a loser who became a strong person, while sasuke was always a genius.

i thought this chapter was awesome, imma go read it again in a minute. i like that naruto is the reincarnation of the younger son, it's better than him being the reincarnation of the sage himself. i like how the story parallels naruto ans sasuke to a T.

Yes, he is the reincarnation of the Sage Of Six Paths son, Ashura.
So, I'm guessing that Sasuke is the reincarnation of Indra?

Lots of speculation confirmed or denied this time. I gotta admit, I'm surprised. I really thought Naruto was the Sage reincarnated. This definitely seems to relate Kaguya to the reaper.
