I like his character in the anime he plays a villain role while caring for his brother in the background to me he is a hero that the leafe doesn't deserve
The combat prowess that he has is un-evend bij even the baddest strongest biggest ninjas in the series

Kishi did a great job with Itachi's role as a big brother. I feel Sasuke and Itachi's relationship represents the one between my brother and Ir early well. What with Sasuke always trying to match him, but then discovering he doesn't have to be just like Itachi to be equals. It's how I felt until I got to college. So, of course, with such a badass relatable character, how could you not like him?

Itachi is indeed a great character. All he really wanted was to protect his brother and make him strong enough to take him down for what he did.

I can respect that he indeed is one of the most elaborately-written characters, but his type (tragic hero/double agent/dark knight) isn't really my cup of tea. So I'm quite neutral towards him.
