This chapter sucked...didn't get any real development...we knew his ass was going 8 gates last week.

I was expecting a flashabck but I didn't enjoyed it :/ ........so much momentum killed .

i think it was just enough to give a good backstory without killing too much time. it was interesting to see who gai learned it from and at least something about his family. IMO

Who cares if he was a Genin at his age, apparently, rank doesnt ALWAYS determine skill level. He was probably more focused on improving himself and learning the gates to pass it down to his son.

this^ Kishi is just giving him a last goodbye. Quit complaining, he does it to all the character who is about to face death or near death experience. 7 swords men are S class. For all we knew Dai could have killed most of them.

That's why I generally say you should read Six or Three Chapters in a go. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Kakashi is perhaps too emotional to stop Gai now as they have literally no other way to defeat Lord Madara.

Well, since this chapter was lackluster, critique my Top 20!

I actually enjoyed getting a bit of a backstory behind how Gai learned to use the gates. However, I definitely could've done without THAT many flashbacks and would've liked to see some action... Anyways, here's my top 20.

but you know that story and if i see more then 70% as Skipped this flashback

todays chapter was good
most of the people who skipped the flashbacks must be dumb cause it was nice build up for upcoming fight.
people should be glad that Kishi finished this flashback in 1 chapter unlike Kabuto, Sasugay & itachi & obito flashbacks.. DAMN those were way too long...

we actually got to see that Gai was a total different person as a kid than he is now.

i guess maybe animated and accompanied by music that people will realise that today's chapter was very necessary

i only point to how many people u turned their opinion on Obito once the anime came out

No you're not the only one who enjoyed the chapter. I enjoyed it knowing a little bit more about Gai was good.

Gai's dad might have been a genin but I must say he was a good shinobi. Making the eight gates thats a big accomplishment for him. Seeing him with Gai is like Gai and lee this whole time. I won't be surprised if Gai is actually Lee's dad.

I dislike the transition into one. There's so many flashbacks in this manga that the mere thought of it kills the mood, but once I actually tried to enjoy the flashback and not let my hate towards them take over, I enjoyed it.

Kishi is really good at killing momentum , I was expecting flashbacks but this was just ugh , we already knew Gais resolve & instead of giving him more closure/interaction with Kakashi ......we get the Eternal Genin , who I believe was never mentioned in the manga -_- ......I love Gai & all but this chapter wasn't good for me .
