It is confirmed that not only he's incapable of mantain Senjutsu for longer but the fact that he's very powerup had to be a beast inside him.
Clearly the people who lacks such ability usually happened to be a jinchuuriki just like Naruto himself.
The only difference is that Naruto happened to be a one alive, whereas Minato had to die to be given.


Orochimaru seems to be right about Minato's inability to take the leader seat, because if he face someone's of Itachi's caliber he can easily be manipulated,

so even Danzo or Obito could've made him their personal pet if he had to live for longer.

I assume, as true to your name, you think the Uchiha pose a threat. They dont; not when everyone and their mother knows about the Uchiha and their Genjutsu. There's even a nursery rhyme that states to never fight the Uchiha by yourself - therefore the Kage Bushin is the best counter.

I don't know if he has a counter to genjutsu but I don't think Danzo or obito could have made him their personal pet
Minatos probably not like itachi and can't get manipulated by Danzo to kill his clan

Yes and no to your point. I wouldn't go so far to say it's impossible to control Minato. It's all in the delvery. If said Uchihas tried to face him head to head and then place him under genjutsu, it's gonna be a bit difficult for them to pull it off.

However, if they catch him through stealth and deception, then yes, I don't see Minato ecaping genjutsu, especially where Itachi is concerned (you know being the greatest genjutsu expert in the Narutoverse)

So you have a vaild point, OP but I wouldn't say it's a sure thing or as easy as you might think.

"basic knowlegde" is not something that should be in the same sentence as Minato. I don't mean to wank him, but it was noted that he is a supurb battle and tactical anylist. Minato's has face an Uchiha before. I think he is aware not to look Itachi in the eyes if he faces him.

It may take kotoamatsukami and tsukuyomi to control minato but at least he can't be manipulated without it

Hmm....I believe he can overcome a low or mid ranked genjutsu...maybe high. He did fight his fair share of Shinobi.... Can he overcome genjutsu from Itachi? Maybe the weaker ones with time, but if he's caught in Tsukuyomi? Well...lets just say Itachi has his life in his hands. ^_^

But with his master chakra control, he should be able to overcome certain high level genjutsu... Don't have any feat though, so for the time being I won't argue on it...

- High level [3T- Sharingan] genjutsu
- Tsukiyomi is out of question...

More like the contrary. Minato is probably one of the best counter genjutsu in this manga

1- He has perfect chakra control to the point he can change its traits to meet another individual
2- He is a sensor
3- Can use clones
4- He is faster than Sharingan can follow

If Minato can't overcome genjutsu with those advantages of his, no one can including Hashirama

I don't want to say something like " Tsukuyomi and it's over " . But if we are discussing about Minato vs Itachi. They're really " cool and fanbase " characters. And i believe Itachi has more experience than Minato. Since we have no idea who was Minato before Hokage just a Jounin or what? Itachi already Anbu Captain when too young maybe youngest. But you could say that Minato was youngest Hokage too. These are not same, believe me. Since i'm telling this comparing. Hiruzen has to left his position to another and there's only 2 option. Orochimaru or Minato. Wel already know why he choosed Minato. They were kinda equal in term of power. But Minato has Will of Fire. Orochimaru is evil. so in battle exp Itachi > Minato.


Raw power, in hand to hand combat i believe itachi has slightly advantage due to Sharingan. Minato could have superb reflexes but what i saw from manga, Itachi able to use Katon while he's pretending to throw shiruken. You really need to use seals etc etc.


I wont even compare them in Chakra control in the other words, genjitsu. We already know Minato has no ability to counter it. What we saw from manga again. Don't call it Clone. Itachi won't spam Tsukuyomi like what others say. And don't forget to Deidera fight he would nearly blow himself. Itachi's genjitsu designs always best. Simple level of genjitsu but mastermind design.Last.

About FTG, it's Minato's trump card or his only card. I won't act like dck but it's easy to counter. Even young Killer B able to predict Minato's move, w/o knowladge and we're talking about Itachi. Best analyzer in NB or one of the best. If Minato has not any mark or kunai? What would do? Rasengan? i'm not even saying about totsuka blade or yata mirror. Or Izanagi or Izanami. Since people maybe won't accept izanami wont any use but it's What if itachi never told Kabuto what's this Jutsu or How could he escape from that genjitsu. He would just stuck into it in loop. Nobody able to escape from it w/o knowladge. Even Itachi has 1-2 sec. He could instantly kill any open target.




About thread i dont know about Obito but, Danzo is able to make anyone to his pet since he has KA.

Orochimaru was talking crap as usual, but made a good point. Minato doesn't come off as a leader but a good warrior.
