I don't remember OP saying anything about intel and he definitely didn't said that they have intel on each other.

He never did that at the beginning of the battle and Minato ends this battle even b4 Gaara can do any of those tricks.

Since he is fighting someone on Minato's caliber.

He never did that against someone of Madara's caliber,no need to mention he didn't even use that kind of trick against Mizukage despite of knowing the fact that he uses genjutsu and joker.
