Itachi has some extremely convenient plot devices that allow him to counter a lot of justu and techniques in this series.

Had Itachi not had Izanami, he would of gotten re-wired by Kabuto and controlled again.

He never actually engaged anyone, most of his fights involve him flashing his genjustu then running away. You can call that part 1 Kakashi genjustu a win, but they ran away after that.

In second Itachi put ablaze lots of three. That cave aint that big.
No where to escape or go around, completely sealed.
From anko fire would spread to kabuto U_U
