depends on your sense of humor.Barney is not even funny .
Barney is only early High School funny to most older ppl he just comes off as an idiot, Chandler's sarcasm is timeless, but if you put Chandler and Joey Together they solo HIMYM and TBBT negative dif
Anyway:
Chandler>>>everyone from himym
Also:
Joey>Barney
Ross&Rachel>ted&Mama
Chandler&Monica>Marshal&Lily (Marshal is my fav in himym, not barney, just fyi)
Phoebe>Robin

lol another ignorant fanboy who calls others kids by not even knowing the person or how old they are.
Most of the population over this site is of teenagers so they're younger than me. Going by what you said about me being an ignorant "fanboy" suggests that you're a kid. Also only a kid would doubt Friends superiority Lol
Neither, I hate those types of shows.
I prefer 45 minute block comedies, like Psych or Chuck.
That 70's show > Friends > Big bang theory > How i met your mother .
HIMYM would never exist without Friends. That being said, as a fan of both, the only way to decide this objectively is which one of the shows had more impact on popular culture.
Friends:
Changing the lyrics to the first line of Tiny Dancer.
Converted a generation to drink at coffee shops.
Joey's "How you doin?" catch phrase
Central Perk actually became a franchise
Smelly cat
HIMYM:
The slap bet
The Bro Code
"lawyered"
"but umm" drinking game
"challenge accepted"
"self five"
Or maybe it's an homage. Not everything is ripping off.you can't compare the cultural impacts of those two, for starters Friends reached so many more people (and still is) it can't even be compared on numbers
@whoever mentioned the same plot&actors
it's true, one example is the gf ted dumped on her birthday, mike did the same thing in friends, he dumped his gf on her birthday and the actress that plays those 2 dumped gf's is the same
I mean c'mon at least try to cover up what you're ripping off
