Interesting. I would like to see itachi in a fight with a high level opponent such as Tsunade. I would also like to see Tsunade in a fight with someone near her own level to see her full capabilities unlike the fight with madara which was not a good representation of her abilities.

This may sound crazy but I think that Itachi not using MS techs is a more suitable path for him to go in this battle. Tsunade is one of the chakra monsters of the series and Itachi chakra reserves are pretty average. MS techs quickly drains the users chakra thus exhausting them (except for obito idk how he continually used kamui like that without getting tired). If Itachi is as smart as I hope he is, sticking to the 3T sharingan and strategically taking out Tsunade would be a better plan than just hoping to quickly overpower her with MS techs. Itachi's normal skill set is advanced enough to keep up with her until she exhausts herself then striking her with tsukuyomi to finish her would be a better path.

Well of course it's in his best interests to play it safe. He's incredible when it comes to basic skills. But this is Tsunade after all, and she's definitely no slouch when it comes to such things. In my opinion, a 3T Itachi does not have the power to kill Tsunade. He lacks his trademark genjutsu, along with his three most damaging attacks. (Totsuka, Amaterasu, and Yasaka beads)

I doubt Genjutsu will work, Tsunade can summon a mini-Katsuyu to disturb her chakra in that case.

The main issue is with all of Tsuande's strength, power, and stamina; how will she use it to defeat Itachi? Well I think she can more than stand toe to toe with him in Taijutsu, most likely give him a run for it. I don't see Itachi getting caught by her however. It'll be a game of cat and mouse and eventually Tsunade will get him IMO

Tsunade is being overrated like usually, I see. I'll have to take Itachi's side on this one then.

First what I would like to note is that none of Tsunade's punches will ever even come close to landing on Itachi due to his Shunshin and so far Itachi has shown the best Shunshin in the series. He even has a better Shunshin than Minato's own. Want proof? Here are examples of his Shunshin;

There is also the fact that Itachi would have no problem clone feint and Shunshin blitzing Tsunade just like he did to a Sennin Mōdo user who happens to be Kabuto. [

] These Bunshin can easily be replaced with an exploding Bunshin instead which could easily blow up Tsunade's head off or some limbs. [

All Itachi has to do is kill Tsunade which is rather simple considering that a simple kunai can be used to cut off her head or pierce her heart [She hasn't shown the ability to survive that nor a stab to the brain]. And like I stated before, there are the exploding Bunshin.

Itachi will easily be capable of stabing or slicing Tsunade's vital spots considering his skill with the kunai. He was able to nail all the mark spots while falling upside down [

Itachi having no MS is a double-edged sword for Tsunade, whilst his most dangerous abilities are unusable it means he can last quite a lot longer thanks to not having access to heavily chakra-taxing techniques.

Itachi will give Tsuna a hard time thanks to his techniques and general skill but in the end, he lacks the firepower (no pun intended) to match the Byakugou Seal.
