Its not SOLEY because of Rin like you make it seem.
The reason why Obito has flashbacks of her is because she was the ONLY person who believed in him, and promised to help him get to his dream.

Rin was the most important person in his life, she was the only person who was always truly there for him. [With Kakashi being a b****, and with Minato being busy with other things] Of course she's going to be on his mind a lot, what do you expect?

Obviously, Rin's death played a large part in him turning evil, but the main factor was not her death, but what it represented. Not going to go too deep into it, frankly, it doesn't seem worth it.​

This... It's pretty sad to suggest he did this all for Rin. Rin obviously was one of the things he wanted in the dream world, however he also wanted his team, and all the shinobi he had grown with. hence why Kishi put the pictures of Obito as the head jounin, then the hokage. Rin wasn't the sole reason for this. She was simply one of the reasons we knew until now.

He even gave up his life for her and on the day of his ''death'', Kakashi became his best friend and Kakashi promised him that he will protect Rin. Later he finds out that he is still alive and trains hard in order to go back to his friends. What happens when he does that? He finds out that Kakashi [His best friend], who promised to protect Rin, killed Rin [The only person in his life that actually cared for him]. Not to mention that Madara brainwashed him. I bet that if it happened to you Obito haters, you would cry your asses off and jump off a bridge. :|
