Take away kamui, and Kakashi is still the best ninja when it comes to the basics.

I mean, he was able to fight on even ground with Kakuzu for a while! That's ridiculous, since he had nothing OP like Kakuzu did.

Kakashi is a badass. No way around it.

No special clan, no special techs (exclude kamui), no OP powerups. Dude's awesome.

Isn't the Sharingan a powerup? That was a gift after all. I figure Kakashi would be stronger than he is now since he was a jounin at a young age but he spent years mastering the sharingan. He did get stronger from part 1 to beginning of Shippuden to where he is at now. The sharingan is now Kakashi's power since he trained and made it his but that is a op power since it's MS too

Kakashi mastered Ninjutsu beyond imaginable extents, created Chidori/Raikiri, can overcome Obito Uchiha [infused Illusion Techniques unto Perfect Jinchūriki] in Genjutsu, superior to Pt. I Rī in Taijutsu and can open some Hachimon.

His intellect was praised by Uchiwa and is extremely robust and has reasonable chakura reserves, being able to utilize the Sharingan/Kamui multiple times despite lacking Uchiha/Senju Ichizoku Heritage produces evident claim.

Minato is not from any special clan either and wasn't given any powers, he actually learned and made his own op jutsus while Kakashi did receive the sharingan which helps him read, predict and copy moves and jutsus. He is called the copy ninja after the sharingan, not cause of his own power without it. Kakashi would have been stronger without the sharingan because he spent years mastering it. Minato can do things with his regular eyes that Kakashi can't which is knowing the strengths and weakness of a jutsu just by seeing it once as he did with Chidori and Kamui.

What support this? The fact Kakashi was fighting 1 pain body and said Jiraiya actually fought all 6 of these guys was unreal which shows the power differences between Kakashi and Jiraiya. Jiraiya constantly praise Minato about being a genius that comes once in a life time and how they haven't had a genius like him since, and what did Jiraiya say about Kakashi being Hokage? Fair enough then went on talking about Minato.

Wrong, and a correction to my last post, Kakashi was fighting 2 because Asura path came but Kakashi couldn't even handle 2 while Jiraiya fought 1 then 3 then all 6

Naruto didn't surpass Jiraiya until after learning SM so no Kakashi would lose. Kakashi couldn't solo a Itachi clone that was 30% of Itachi power so tag team with Naruto where as Nagato is way stronger than Itachi and there's 6 bodies which are all kage level.

A common nail coming to him at an unremarkably high speed.

Do either of you read the manga? Kakashi Kamui the nail away, he was still alive and died using Kamui again to warp Pain's missile that was going to hit Choji.
