It was stated in the manga, specially in the Asuma death's chapters.

If it were just like you said, then Orochimaru would only attack Hiruzen, but... he attacked the whole village instead, using the sound village and the sand village. He fighting mano-a-mano vs Hiruzen was just the peak of the scene.

Same enemies is very different from same objective, you're assuming a lot of things without solid support...

I'm sure Oro is thinking of something but it's a bit confusing. When Oro was revived he said he wasn't interested in the war but was in Sasuke's body but lacked the strength to do it at that time cause he wasn't at full power. Then Oro began to become interested in seeing what Sasuke would do so supported Sasuke's decisions but the Oro we all know and love would have used the 4 Hokages to beat Sasuke and take over his body. Even in recent chapters Oro said Sasuke didn't seem happy which made me question what the heck happened to Oro who was all evil and did things that only benefited him.

Oro does have white Zetsu body which is filled with Hashirama's cells and yamato powered up all of the White Zetsus since he has Hashirama's chakra ( I think? I have to go back and reread when Kabuto told Obito about it but I'm sure Yamato was the chakra since they already had the cells) so if or when Oro wants to take over a body, that jutsu to switch bodies would be made more powerful.

I have a theory that Oro might take Obito's body or if Madara is revived then Madara's.

I never thought that but it is true that the zetsu cells would make his jutsu stronger thus allowing him to capture stronger hosts

wel..wat i think is kishi must have planned something before he planned their similarities..
thus now he wants to do plot twist...the so reason y he has brought them together on the battle field...this is wat makes me surprised when i found their lives nearly same..
