Kimimaru Etc... All had terrible past...

I'm not a fan of how sob stories are overplayed.

That's why I find myself only feeling sympathy towards people like: Neji, Kisame, Sasori, Lee, Kakashi, Gaara and Bee. (And Nagato)

Their stories are sad but at the same time relatable and we can understand their thoughts completely. Something that lacks from Naruto and Sasuke as you can never guess what they're feeling.

Sasuke to me had the worst past of them all. Coming home after school to find your entire clan, mom, and dad killed by your older brother who you looked up too, wanted to be like, and loved more than anything in the world. Having to re-live that moment everytime you see him because he put you in a genjutsu where you have no choice but to watch it over and over again. Poor Sasuke

^I agree with this.

OT: For adding character depth, pretty much everyone had their own hardships in life.
Most developed (correction: developed) characters of k12 for example are the ones who had hardhips or strugles:
Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, Lee and somewhat Chouji. And no i don't even compare Hinata as far as struggles goes to these guys maybe barring Chouji.

donot know whether it was filler or not but it showed that
hinata's first meeting with naruto.
and hinata's servant/body guard came to rescue her from naruto.(maybe a filler i guess)
still she was like a princess.
other than the fact that she was almost kidnap by cloud ninja and sound ninja.
