Who's stronger, Hanzo w/ his conviction or Hiruzen w/ his hype?

Hanzo w/ his conviction defeated Mifune, and he also defeated the Sannin 3on1 when the Sannins were in their 20s(physical primes).

Hiruzen w/ his hype was the greatest of his time over the 3rd Raikage and Onoki (lmao, I know).

Who do you think is better?

Their PHYSICAL primes as I clearly stated in the OP. Look at the NBA, NFL, MLB, etc, in most cases players hit their prime in the mid 20s and then they start to dwindle during their 30s.

The Sannin easily could have been teenagers then we cant know for sure.

They weren't really in their prime, they were still pretty novice back then.. It was Hanzo who gave them the Sannin title..

Considering we never saw any amount of the battle, it is virtually impossible to determine their battle strength. However, enough testament to his strength are the following.

1. He was said to be the strongest of his Time (which would seemingly include Hiruzen).

2. He defeated the Sannin AND a Konoha platoon without a scratch.

3. Even whilst fighting Nagato, Jiraiya was shocked that Hanzo died.

4. Even after years of seclusion/isolation, Hanzo for the most part could go toe to toe with the world's upper tier characters (Mifune isn't a pushover). Plausibly even being capable of victory if not for his will power


At the same time, we know little of Prime Hiruzen. It's virtually impossible to truly say; however, I'll go with Hanzo.

It's difficult, we dont see Prime Hiruzen ever fight, and we never saw the strength of the Sannin when Hanzo defeated all 3 of them. Both shinobi are riding on hype, so it's too difficult to determine, but I'd say Hiruzen.

We only seen edo hanzo fight and it was against mifune, hiruzen fought oro to a draw, and defeated two of the greatest shinobi in history at 50% there edo power and hashirama at 50%is still very powerful so hiruzen gets this and that's old hiruzen vs prime hanzo hiruzen still wins

I say Hiruzen over hanzo. I mean Hiruzen was said to have learnt every jutsu in the leaf. If he had been revived in his prime age the guy could probably take ay and onoki possibly gaara as well all at the same time.

Hiruzen with all his hype completely destroys Hanzo, and Hiruzen with his current manga presence and logical hype still stomps Hanzo. Any Hokage except for Tsunade will wipe the floor with Hanzo.

Actually the other two Hokage were at a fraction of their power which means less than 50%. Considering what we've seen it's hardly plausible that they were close to 50%. Besides... why would Tobirama say a fraction when he could have simply said half?!

There's no way IMO that Hiruzen at old age beats Prime Hanzo.
