[Question] Next chapter

Last week we all saw that there wouldn't be a One Piece chapter released this week. But does anyone know WHY? I can't find it on the internet. And for one, I like to get/have/know a good reason why there's ANOTHER break AGAIN.

Most likely Oda wants a rest. You know these Mangakas spend 3 days a week on the story and 3 days a week drawing all for just one chapter, cut the guy some slack.

yes, but there's already been so much breaks. I know he's been very sick, but that's been 2 months ago and before that there were a ton of breaks as well. Besides, he has people who help him draw and stuff...

Why should we give them a break when people have harder jobs or work more hours than they do all over the world? We don't go and say we should give this doctor or lawyer a break because they work so much. Just because they are famous manga writings doesn't mean they deserve the chance to have so many breaks

Don't you dare complain about breaks, this man is a victim of his own succes and he is suuuuperrr dedicated. He deserves every break he wants. Besides half of the breaks he doesn't even have influence on, that's just Shonen schedule.

I worked this last year on a fisherboat now, and there you have to work 2 hours, maybe sleep another hour or maybe only 15 minutes before getting back on deck (depends on how much fish there is in the nets and the quantity of fish in the sea) and when you do that non-stop for 10 days, sometimes not even sleeping in between, you'll get like a zombie in no time. So I don't believe he works those hours. He might take a nap at noon or so then...
But it sounds just way to impossible to keep that up

Of course he might have an occasional nap, but this guy has been doing this since 1997. He creates everything, he designs everything, he needs to do a ton of research, he has to color a spread once in a while, oversee the anime/special/movies, he goes to fan days and has to draw endless Luffy's and give a million autographs. And everything while he has a wife and kid at home. Besides what do you think he does on a break ? The magazine is on a break, It's not like he can drop everything and fly to Hawaii for a week.

But hey, a break. AGAIN ! Come on Oda you just had one a month ago. I want my free portion of One Piece NOW !

I have a few questions for you:
What is your job?
How old are you?
And most importantly: Do you buy the OP volumes?

When I was finishing my doctoral papers and work I was on average sleeping for 4 hours a day and to everyone else was practically dead for a few months, I had an insane amount of work to do and now that I did it I still have a very tasking job and more than five hours of sleep is like a vacation and which encompases 1. Lectures which you have to construct by yourself 2. Research and 3. Publishing articles ... It's a relief that I can do a lot of it from home and that I love doing what I do but I don't have a lot of free time, though t
I myself for the most part can distribute the work however I want as long as I do it so I can balance it out and live a somewhat normal life (with my best friend mr. Red Bull/coffe because I honestly see sleeping as a waste of time at this point)

Why did I tell you that, well because Odas schedule is worse and he can't distribute his work however he wants, he has deadlines since the manga comes out weekly, so I completely understand his need for breaks

Just compare a normal OP chapter to a normal Naruto chapter, an OP chapter usually has several weeks of Narutos information in it, not to mention the detail that goes into the art work and the story

Lol be thankful we get One Piece! We are lucky it's not Attack On Titan where it comes out every month. Just be patient. What's the harm? It's better than Naruto no doubt. u_u

college isn't that taxing really, it is a lot of work but not as much as you make it out to be and you have free time even if you also have a job, though some people would prefer to sometimes just take a break and be a janitor for a week (believe me I would have welcomed it at times) ... sorry dude
later as a grad student, now that is tough, and those 24hr exams are a pain in the ???

just because you are in college and have a job DOES NOT mean you have a schedule as cramped as Oda, believe it or not there are many things after college that are much more demanding

and how do I know that, well putting aside that I have been through a University (and been there quite long), I actually am an assistant at a University and aiming to become a professor so I know full well the broad range of work for different university programmes, college in comparison to ... say grad school is a piece of cake

my point: don't bash other ppl for taking a break just because you assume your work schedule is just as taxing as his, especially not if the person in question is Oda because most likely you're wrong

I might agree with you if you were say the president, but no you are a college student (not that I would ever belittle that because I respect those who choose to go to college) and believe it or not there are millions just like you and millions who have it tougher

and a mangakas schedule is hellish

also you never answered weather you buy One Piece Volumes ... I myself have all 68 of them and I don't mind Oda taking a well deserved break

College students spend more time partying than working : how do I know?
I have two siblings who are older than me : both party/ied all the time. Your life isn't taxing at all compared to a Mangakas.
