Sasuke responds:

Ninjutsu literally means ninja techniques. It requires handsigns for the most part. Handsigns are signs made of .. hands and are used to channel your chakra in a specific way made only for a certain technique. Ninja techniques that are lower in level consists of techniques used for evading techniques, while other higher level techniques are used for offensive and defensive purposes. Chakra is used for ninjutsu, and it is the basics of all basics. Chakra is used to perform elemental techniques genjutsu and chakra-enhanced taijutsu skills. Ninjutsu is used with weapons most of the time. Some weapons range from senbons to swords, and with ninjutsu you can enhance these weapons like the one that makes 1k shurikens. xD that's pretty much all i know o-o

Ninjutsu :Ninjutsu are techniques that allow the user to do techniques he couldn't regularly do

Ninjutsu are made up of two compunds Shape transformation & Nature Transformation
Shape transformation deals with controlling the form, movement, and potency of chakra.
Nature transformation usually deals with changing the physical properties of chakra into an element.
Ninjutsu can be used in many ways such as With Weapons , Also with Healing like in Tsunades case or in Clones that naruto spams, many many ways ninjutsu can be used

Rashamon is a ninjutsu , Rasengan etc.....

Kakuzu listens intently to both of his students, slightly disappointed with their shallow explanations on Ninjutsu.

Far too basic, you missed out on too many key things. I expect your future answers to be far more detailed, especially you Sayuri. One thing you both failed to mention is that since Ninjutsu is a more primitive version of Elemental Ninjutsu, most techniques in this category are actually weak to all elemental ones. Few exceptions exist such as Rasengan, where the chakra is worked and molded with advanced shape manipulation, putting it on equal terms with elemental variants. Once you've read and understood the following, we will proceed.

Ninjutsu is the usage of chakra to perform various tasks which can't be performed otherwise. Its an extremely broad term and encompasses many things such as: weapon usage, medical uses, transformations and so on. Unlike Genjutsu, its effects manifest in reality and not solely in the illusonary. A notable user of Ninjutsu is the 2nd Tsuchikage due to his arsenal of highly regarded techniques. Through chakra manipulation alone, he could achieve flight through unknown means, turn his body completely invisible and "split" his chakra into two separate bodies. His splitting technique far surpassed conventional clone techniques as both halves of him are considered the "real" version of him, meaning they couldn't be dispersed.

Ninjutsu isn't solely based around chakra usage and performing complex techniques and maneuvers, but is also in reference to the skill set a ninja should possess. The term "Ninjutsu" literally means ninja skills, leading me to believe its actually a more abstract concept to what we first perceive. A ninja should be a keen analyzer of situations, capable of conjuring up plans, tactics and counters, both in the heat of a battle and in preparation for one. They must make proficient use of the various ninja tools at their disposal, using all of the utensils they possess to the fullest. Awareness is another very important skill a ninja should possess. Paying close attention to detail, making logical inferences about your opponent, gradually deciphering your opponent's fighting style, noticing minute disturbances in your surroundings and remaining vigilant at all times is required if a ninja is to survive. Often a lack of awareness leaves you prone to assassinations, being struck by invisible attacks or worse still, making you unable to realize nor release an illusionary technique.

Even with the astounding abilities a ninja can come to acquire, he/she should never overlook or forget these fundamental rules. It could very well result in their downfall.

Sorry >_<. and ok read all of it. One question, the second tsuchikage's flying technique is a ninjutsu? In thw RP is it a passive technique or do you have to activate it?

Alright, our Ninjutsu training can be broken down into the following three categories:
-Weapons Usage
-Logistics of a Battle
-Learning the Techniques

The techniques will be learnt in the following groups:
-Ninja tools, scrolls and weapons usage
-Stealth and Detection (My personal favourite)
-Transformations and clones
-Miscellaneous (All other techniques grouped together)

Note about my training: Since I make you specialize in the different categories one at a time, you'll be learning techniques with different ranks in a random order. That being said, you cannot make any Ninjutsu custom techniques until you complete all of the Ninjutsu techniques.

Right now, we'll begin on weapons usage in a battle. Tell me about all of the ninja tools you know of, describe them thoroughly and how they can be used in battle.

Alright, this may be long but prepare to be impressed! (i hope)

- Kunais
Well, kunais are about as basic as it gets. Kunai's are sort of like a small knife with a pointed tip but slightly thicker base. The handle of it is short and thin, and ends with a small hole. This hole is what makes kunai's interesting, you can use it to put and attach things together, like having a kunai strung together with smoke bombs and paper tags. Kunai's can be used, like most weapons, in conjunction with elements (commonly with lightning) lightning can strengthening the piercing factors of kunai's and the general strength of the kunai. Wind can also be used to strengthen the power of the kunai, giving almost the same effect. However, a wind technique can be used to kind of have the kunai extend, with the help of wind chakra (The B-rank technique) Kunai's can be used free-formly and are most commonly used as distractions. Last thing i know of kunai's, they can be manipulated in terms of direction with wind chakra (C or D-rank wind i think o_o)

- Shurikens Another common weapon of a shinobi, most shinobi's have them kind of like the kunai's. It is basically a piece of thin metal that has 4 thin sharp sides, and a hole in the middle. Like the hole in the kunai, shuriken's holes can be used to attach things such as paper bombs and explosive tags. Shurikens can be used to hit a target in an arc-like way, unlike the kunai who can only hit straight normally. Shurikens can be used along with elemental ninjutsu (like how i explained kunais) and some ninjutsu, where it can be used to multiply a shuriken into 1000 shurikens. Basically, a shuriken acts like a kunai but different appearance. (didn't put that much since kunais and shurikens are so alike.)

- Senbons One of my favorite, mostly known as needles. It was seen being used by Haku, where she accurately pinpointed his targets vital and pressure points, and effectively used the needles to strike at them. These needles are extremely thin ans therefore, sort of hard to see. It can pierce through skin (displayed by Haku) and are very tricky to use due to its size. Don't think there's a technique that utilizes senbons with elements yet.. That's all i know about senbons <_>

- Explosive tags Tags with symbols in japanese (which im guessing says explosive tags, lol) It can be used to place on any part of the terrain, whether it be 1 or 100. The user will be able to detonate the tags by will and the tags will explode once the user activates it. These can also be applied to human body, and once applied, gives them the ability to detonate it by will causing damage to the opponent. As seen on the anime, if it somehow gets wet, it may be unable to detonate. (saw professor sarutobi tell this to someone.. i think >_<)

- Flash bombs Well.. basically tiny balls that have mist inside of them, it is most commonly used as a distraction and to temporarily blind the opponent in our RP. It can be used to temporarily block your opponents vision, so you would have the advantage by setting up a surprise attack. Used basically for supplementary, it's a basic weapon so i don't really have much to explain. xD oh it can be tied with shurikens, kunais, and other weapons that have holes 0-0.

- Windmill Shuriken Just a giant shuriken, nothing more nothing less. Oh wait, there is more, the hole is larger and the tips are larger and pointy-er. Also, in the anime/manga it shows that naruto transformed into a windmill shuriken.. not sure if its an actual technique in the naruto rp since this is my first ninjutsu training.. but yeah. xD It does more damage but is probably slower then a normal shuriken.

- Special Weapons Some special weapons include the amegakure umbrella, it can shoot out senbons :3. Weapons can include pills such as the Akimichi clan, it gives them the ability to increse their strength for a short duration. But by increase, i mean like x100 power lol.

Now that i read this.. doesn't seem as impressive .-. can't think of anything right now.. feel free to enlighten me and tell me things i missed <_>

Shurikens: Shurikens are basically ninja stars from ninja movies but different they only have four points and a medium size hole in the middle , mOst ninjas use Shurikens in conjunction with jutsus , or to distract there enemy while they perform somthing else.

Kunais: Kunais IMO the most versatile weapon on Nb and Naruto period this weapon can be used in so many ways one May turn this ordinary kunai into a sword , Can also add a explosive tag to it to distract the enemy from the explosion it creates, and is a all around good weapon to use , You can face samuraiis & sword dealers with this weapon even though its small it can take the pressure of full broaded swords , only breaks when used with element enhanched swords such as sasukes lightning sword etc.

Winmill Shuriken: Though I only seen naruto uzamaki use this the windmill shuriken is a big beefed uped shuriken that is the size of a large kite unlike the regular shurikens the windmill shuriken instead of point its bent so it may fly farther or some other reason.

Explosive Tags: The Best thing to use as A distraction causing a small explosion ( varying on how many you put in a location) does pretty much the same as a frag grenade if it was compared to a weapon of our era, Can put a explosive tag any wear and it will detonate

Excellent display from you Edward, nice work. Sayuri, you need to make you replies much more detailed.

Angle and direction of Ninja tools
These are the realistic aspects of the RP. We will be covering one at a time starting with Angle. These are some of the things you need to keep in mind when fighting in a battle.

Angle is a very important part when battling and if used right it can give you the upper hand over your opponent. It's very important to understand the angles in a battle. This is mainly used with ninja tools (shuriken, kunai and other projectiles) but you can also use this with certain techniques that are launched at your opponent. Just by stating the angle you can confuse your opponent.

For example:Ninja 1 and Ninja 2 are fighting. N1 throws 2 kunai at N2, one at the angle of 25 and the other on 75. The lower the angle, the faster the projectile. Most new people would say:"I intercept the kunai with one of my own, blocking them both." If you use angles, this is where you can score.

Here is a pic for reference:
You must be registered for see images

If N1 threw the kunai at an angle of 25 first your opponent would probably be defending from that one first thus he would fail to notice the other one. If he blocks the first one then the second one would hit him unless he kept his focus. Thus with one blow you can cause fatal injuries. (Credits to Cobalt)

Another neat trick I picked up is the efficient use of a flash bomb. By hiding a flash bomb in your sleeve/hand and dropping it onto the ground behind your position, you'll slyly blind your opponent without blinding yourself giving you the upper hand. Now, this is a nice tactic, however spamming it or over-using it will make you look unskillful and reliant on the upper hand it gives you. Use it sparsely.

Okay.. i understand enough. >___>

so.. can you throw shurikens to have it curve around like an arc and hit your opponent? O_O or would you need like a wind jutsu to change the angle mid-air?

She's right, to change the direction or flight path of a projectile in mid-air, you'd either need wind, ninjutsu or special fuuinjutsu tags applied to the thrown kunai.

Now, I want you to state and describe all of the different types of terrains that could be fought in, be as creative as you'd like. Along with this, I want you to list the different types of weather conditions and their significance to you in battle.

Let's start with terrain:
- Grassy plains, just a plain field with bunch of grass growing everywhere.
- Ocean, full on ocean with no land.
- Half ocean Half beach
- Plain field with lakes running along the middle, Plain fields with two lakes running along the two sides
- Sandy places, like where Garaa and the edo's fought.
- Inside buildings where its restricted and smaller space.
- Some bridge, or a small piece of earth where "stepping off" will get you dead.
- Ocean with metal plates, konan vs obito
- Popular danzo vs sasuke

That's all i got.

Weather:
- Raining, it would be useful to those who has training in the rain element.
- If its like a thunderstorm coming along, it could be used for kirin. :x3:
- Uh, sandstorm, can be used for advantages to sand users.
- Windy, would be useful for fire techniques to enhance their size and all.

<_<

You're probably wondering why I asked you to do that. Here's why. In certain environments, shinobi exist who can launch attacks difficult to perceive. During rainy conditions, a rain user can sharpen a single or multiple droplets of rain into needle-like blades, granting them the ability to kill you without you even realizing it. The same applies to snowy conditions, hail and etc. Sand users are particularly dangerous in deserts. There are even some ninja which can manipulate the temperature of the battlefield itself e.g. Custom Elements: Arid and Temperature. If you're fighting in a extremity climate (very hot or very cold), you'd be at a serious disadvantage.

Awareness is key. No matter how strong any opponent is, if he or she has no knowledge of your next attack, they're probably done for. Knowledge is power. Being wary at all times and having the necessary skills to perceive all types of offensives are essential to your survival. I've broken down the three main causes of death for shinobi due to a lack of awareness in battle.

Speed enhancements
These can come in many forms such as: Leg Weights, Bijuu chakra cloaks, Elemental armours, Swift Release and the Eight Inner Gates. However, many people can come to access quick usage speed boosts (which aren't continuous) which allow the user to move from one location to another with near untracakble speeds.

The best way to counter these is to first recognize a speed enhancement has been used e.g Leg Weights dropping, a cloak manifesting and etc. After that happens, either manipulate the terrain to your favour (e.g. create a swamp) or construct a defensive shield/armour to protect yourself.

Attacks invisible to the naked eye
Observe the distortions in the air, the sounds they create and so on. However, most of the time this will not help.

Genjutsu/Illusionary techniques
The first step in realizing a genjutsu is observing for anything overly-obvious or something which would naturally probe your character's suspicion. In battle, I want you to observe even the smallest of disturbances in your surroundings and the slightest inconsistencies. I want you to notice, if a tree begins coiling around you, does it produce growing sounds as it emerges ? If a fireball is shot towards you, does the heat of the technique resonate from it and make you feel like the temperature is rising ? If you see an illusionary clone walking towards you, does it bend the grass when it walks ? If you get burnt by something, does the wound sizzle as the burn is inflicted ? Does the water beneath your feet ripple when you walk, or make any splashing sounds ?

Pay very close attention to the senses a technique affects, its fundamental to breaking a genjutsu. If a technique doesn't specify the senses it affects, make sure you don't assume anything. Find other ways of seeing through the technique. Does the illusion respect the laws of reality ? Does the illusion distort happen to abruptly and distorts the natural occurrence of events ? I can't teach you how to realize every genjutsu, I can only teach you the concept of doing so. The rest is up to how much you take away from this training. One thing to bare in mind is, when you're trying to realize genjutsu, don't come up with extremely complicated thought processes or anything which wouldn't be realistic in the heat of a battle. I don't want you to "god-mod" or try to use knowledge your character doesn't have to break Genjutsus. You must be realistic and legitimate in the way you break genjutsus.

All of this is said from my perspective. My bios do not possess any sensory capabilities or a Doijutsu. If you wield sensing or a Doijutsu, you'll have a much greater sense of awareness compared to normal shinobi. You're capable of tracking faster speeds, "knowing" about invisible attacks and detecting foreign chakra in your bodies (Genjutsu). If this sort of thing intrigues you, you might like to look into the Byakugan.

Once you've read and understood the above, post here and we'll move onto the techniques.
