why are Naruto's KCM and BM mode yellow instead of red?

well, let me put it this way: naruto's BM form is the equivelant to bee's 8 tail form (the red one v2) except its the kyuubi's. OBviously, kishimoto didn't want naruto's form to look like we expected so he made it look different (a result of him only having yang chakra or something maybe) and his form only looks normal when kurama's will mixes with the chakra. I'm not sure, but its mostly to keep things interesting

Its the seal minato used on himself and naruto, it's derived from the uzumaki clan which is the sage's clan.

The Bijuu are living entities of chakra. To separate them from what they exist as is impossible. Notice when Naruto defeated Kurama.... after losing that energy Kurama looked all "skin and bones" like... that's because part of Kurama's existence was taken away form him.



OT: Most likely because 1. The Yellow is probably a tip of the hat to Super Saiyans (Kishi being inspired by DBZ), and 2. Probably because the golden glow somewhat gives off the idea of a heroic special savior/prophet. Or one could say a "Beacon of Hope".

A red glow is closer probably (and more realistically for Kurama's character) to the idea of just pure power and a demon kind of vibe.
