God I miss the old Naruto

I'm re watching the show right now and even though I've already seen the whole series it's still so fresh and exciting if only shippuden was like that...

Agree to a certain extend. When i compare characters from Part I- Part II. All of them seem to be bland and emotionless.

I know what you mean. But that's mostly from the nostalgia and the initial momentum. In the beginning of most media (especially anime's) they usually are very high quality because people are willing to buy in to a new project. Now that the anime/manga has been running for 10+ years it's taken a new turn for the people running it because it isn't "new" and it's more stale without all the passion behind the production.

Sasuke Vs. Deidara felt like a Part-1 style fight to me, all up until Deidara's death.

I like part 1 more, there was much more questioning and tension going on there, not to mention awesome and developing characters from "good" side. Everyone was useful and everyone's dream mattered.

The only thing shippuuden got over part 1 is Akatsuki. They are gone; now the current arc is about zombies and monsters fighting; not ninjas.

Seriously. Back then the Uchiha's were always elite but people actually had a decent chance against them. Yes. Danzo vs Sasuke was also pretty Part 1-ish. Other than that....

Yep, i feel that part one fights died at sasuke vs itachi (when he pulled susanoo)
But sasuke vs bee had some part 1 elements and so did sasuke vs danzo hence i love sasuke fights more.

Yea with other anime/manga in Japan they needed to make people OP or people would have lost interest because bleach and one piece are super strong themselves and took a time skip and got OP themselves.

But yes I understand what you were saying too. Even to the point we thought Jman could beat Itachi and Kisame together. Later on we knew better
