That is wherein your argument falters. The whole scaling of powers or your opinion of such. It's not just the base of the fight (Which happens to be a Perfect Jinchuriki vs a Rinnegan user) it is tactics and as such they will be used. You can outline overpowering factors such as Nagato's Chibaku Tensei but fail to incorporate the fact that FRS+Yasaka Magatama+One TBB was enough to take it out when we have seen Naruto match 6 combined TBB which in itself has more than enough destructive force than the aforementioned combination (The Itachi, Bee and Naruto vs Nagato bout).

Clones divide power evenly, so it doesn't matter regardless. Each clone he makes only halves the power of each one, making them easier to kill.

Naruto already spread clones throughout the battle field. So, by your logic, Naruto was fighting nowhere near full strength. He was ruffly using 1/12 at most then. Either way, that's not how shadow clones work. It divides chakra reserves(stamina) not power.

That wasn't my point. It looks more like an impact. Whether or not Nagato can absorb chakra doesn't matter since that, by the time contact is made, the user's enhanced attack will hit him. It's like this. I'm punching you in the face as hard as I can, but on physical contact, you made me tired. However, the kinetic energy I put into punching you when the contact began still remains, and it does as much damage as it would have had you not drained me.

Note: you've been putting kyubi instead of Hachibi. Thought you'd like to know.

Naruto has long surpassed Nagato.

CT is blown up via Bijuu Dama.

CST and any other weaker offense is easily tanked by the Kurama cloak.

The only thing that makes this still somewhat of an argument is Preta Path, and there are ways around that.

-Attempt to sneak in a Frog Kata via a Sage Clone and break Nagato's neck (Unlikely)

-Fire a Bijuu Dama at him, and take him out while he absorbs it.

Do people keep forgetting that Naruto can make clones or what? What can Nagato do against at least 12 KCM clones (and maybe some SM clones too)? If he tries to use Preta path to absorb a Jutsu (Cho rasenshuriken for example) the other clones can corner him from all directions and he's pretty much done.

and since you are so careful to note that Nagato has some knowledge on Naruto from their fight, be careful to remember that Naruto also has full knowlegde on every ability of rinnegan

Though I agree with you, I have trouble believing Naruto can pull it off again, because the first time he had time to prepare clones to replenish his Sage Mode, this time around he'd run out.

That's true, because he wouldn't have the chakra necessary to perform it. However, the strength of the jutsu(if pulled off) would be the same.
