Well, that was unexpected. At least for me. Look at their size difference. One is as huge as it should be and the other one is relatively small, the point is Utikate and Shunsui (Dual wielders) both have equally size swords so why Kubo gave Ichigo such swords if he wanted to be him a dual wielder? But I don't know, I have a feeling that his Bankai will be a single sword; by merging the two of them. The size of smaller Zanpakutō is more or less equal to the hole of the huge one. As the small one fills the hole of huge one.

The way I see it:
-1 Zanpaktou for his Hollow/Shinigami powers
-1 Zanpaktou for his Quincy powers

Quite an interesting twist from Kubo

i think next time we will hear what Aizen told bach. THe swords were ok. It will be interesting to see how they will be utilized. Looking forward to the next people Ichigo meets; also meeting back up with the others.

When the chapter was proceeding I was like "show me the freaking sword, show me the freaking sword :devil:", for a moment I thought Kubo still wouldn't reveal it this chapter ~_~

Didn't expect two weapons, though it's obvious were it originates from: one for each of his 'powers'. But I personally like the fact a lot more that this is some kind of an Ichigo version of the legendary katana x wakizashi combo (the Daisho). I prefer that reference above the symbolism of his dualistic powers for what I hope is now finally his last sword upgrade.

Now considering those funny holes in the swords, I guess he might be able to fire the wakizashi using the katana as a bow in the nature of firing a Quincy arrow/Cero/Getsuga Tenshou or all at the same time.

I had this same idea... he could in theory make a makeshift cross like a qunicy and fire arrows..... but is this Ichigo's style?

I think that he caN conbine them if you look at it closly the bigger sword has a bigger hilt if he connents the small sword to the big one it makes a bow / or double bladed staff

But the Zangetsus just vanished, which makes me think they're actually a part of him. Zanpaktous don't disperse like that.

Well Quincy's can materialize their bows with their cross thingy's, well maybe Ichigo can materialize his zanpaktou with his reiatsu since he can't seal it into asauchi, and can't hang it on his body anymore.

I don't know he could be announcing another attack(Unlikely), or he could be announcing they now have a pure blooded Quincy (Ishida)

If anyone was still wondering if this is a shikia or bankai, its a shikia because the thing on his neck from FullBring, isn't those two black lines, it the weird black and white collar

The last two are Senjumaru Shatara and Osho. Shatara is the girl who broke into the research lab and is some kind of guardian of weaving. Osho is the large guy who seems to be the leader of the group. I don't believe that there has been any real info about him at this point.

At long last..... We get to see the new zangetsu or zangetsus so to speak. the design is Ok... one with the ususal big size and the other new small one. I hope it is in shikai stage or better still if its in sealed form. That will mean ichigo has more control over his raiatsu now. Hoping to see some change in fighting style as now he will be duel wielding... kyuraku might take some part in that...

Many of you assumed that the swords have disappeared after their first appearence... I think they just manifested into their soul form (the hollow and the old zangetsu). I hope it is an indication that now there is compete understanding between ichigo and his zanpaktous as in higher level of understanding it is easier for a shinigami to call out his zanpaktou in his true form.

Ichigo now accepts both his quincy powers and his hollow powers completely which will bring a new heights to his overall power... Now time for some bad ass special moves... =D =D
