The fact is that this is Kishimotos story. If he planned on making Minato see Hinata he would of have done it. Right now it is way to late. There was a reason he made it so that Minato arrived right when Sakura was healing Naruto. Sakura was first of Narutos friends that he talked to. And right away he commented on them being a couple...
Foreshadowing much ? Face it, Minato is for NaruSaku, not NaruHina and definitely not for NaruSasu.

The thing is don't you feel weird having your mom tell you to marry a girl just like her? IMO that's creepy XD. It's one sided though just like the other pairings. Kishi will have to asspull to get sakura to give up on sasuke, same with Naruto giving up on Sakura. Naruto will probably end up with an open ending, I think that would be best.

In the Road to Ninja movie where Kishi helped with the concept there was a line which she told Naruto that he has to look good for the daughter of a hero and Sakura was the daughter of the hero in the AU =)
