He wasn't even try to kill Sasuke he could've delivered a blow to knock him out but he didn't because he was trying to disprove a statement Sasuke said previously.. He did that to make Sasuke acknowledge that he was an equal. I brought a manga scan to back up my claim while you have yet to disprove it.

In that point of time during the clash yes he scratched his headband to disprove a previous statement of Sasukes wrong. Naruto's hand is still closer to Sasuke's headband than any other part of Sasuke's body just before contact, whereas Sasuke's hand is closest to Naruto's chest. Part of Naruto's body is showing, meaning he is reaching whereas Sasuke's arm is completely straight. They were the same distance from each other so it would have been impossible for Naruto to hit anywhere else.

Yeah I know that Sasuke is taller there's no denying that but that doesn't mean he had a way longer arm length.. As I've said there similar in length even if sasuke's is longer its not by much. You still don't get it do you? Naruto purposely aimed for his headband which I've stated before and explained.. Sasuke went to the chest becasue he wanted to land a fatal blow Sasuke had his fingers closed for a piercing attack while Naruto had his hands open hence why it seems that Sasuke's reach is farther.

Yeah Naruto was unconscious because of the blow Sasuke delivered.. if Naruto had done the same Sasuke would have been too resulting in a tie. Who ever said I wasn't making this a vs thread? Then why was Naruto lunging forward whereas Sasuke got inside positioning and has his arm completely straightened? He won on skill and reach, simple as that.
