[Discussion] Minato vs Itachi proper analysis

This is a match up people often argue about, thinking one is obviously stronger than the other.

Well I just put some thought into it and here's who's the strongest... neither of them. A fight between Itachi and Minato would come down to pure luck. I'm going to explain why.

There was this MMO I used to play where there were 2 classes that were often in competition. One was a warlock and the other was a warrior. One had many debuffs and the other was very fast. Who do you think won? Neither, it depended on who found the opening first. Whichever caught the enemy off guard, got snowballed into defeat.

And this is exactly how both Itachi and Minato fight. If Itachi catches you in a genjutsu or blindsides you with regular hits, he'll snowball his attacks and completely corner you (Itachi vs Sasuke at the beginning). If Minato manages to place his kunai he'll also snowball more and more teleports until you can't do anything (Minato vs Raikage).

One is smart the other is fast... it's a tie. People now say Minato is stronger because of Kyuubi chakra, well yeah he is, but give the other half of the kyuubi chakra to Itachi and it'll be a draw again.

You must be joking

1. Counter all his moves? He only used kamui.
2. If you have something to protect its just a reason to fight harder, everyone in this manga has similar experiences.
3. Figuring out kamui isn't even a big feat, sakura did that in the same amount of time and in higher depth. And she didn't even fight him as extensively as minato did.
4. There is no evidence itachi ever witnessed obito fighting, the most he might have seen was him teleporting via kamui.

I disagree, since Itachi has Yata mirror. Minato can only win, by keep avoiding being killed, and hope Itachi runs out of chakra, before that happens.

ppl think itachi will win because Itachi has been able to showcase the full extent of his power and has plenty of panel time to show off everything including Susanoo, Amaterasu, Izanami, Yasaka Magatama, etc... But Minato has barely gotten any panel time and besides FTG and Rasengan hasnt been able to show the full extent of his power. Now he is getting that chance

Minato was already in top 10 and thats when we barely had any intel on all his abilities. Now he will show us the reason why he was made Yondaime Hokage. :wesobi: By the end of the series he will be at the least top 5
