... It's okay to divide people up into ethnic groups when discussing how race isn't supposed to be an issue? What were the man's policies, again?

The same thing is being done, here. "This is such a great step forward, this man is a hero!"

... No. He's another gay guy. He just happened to be in the NBA. Oh... and he's a 'meh' of a player at the end of his career who will need a reason for companies to pick him up for endorsements.

Which is precisely what the issue of race has become.

The fact is that even though a lot of those women do not have an eating disorder, they do not get proper nourishment because of their attempts to stay within a certain figure. That is especially true of a number of women with a career or reputation 'in the public eye.'

Interestingly enough, actresses in pornography are often of similar proportions, but somewhat higher overall weight. Most men do find women with more 'skin-fat' to be more attractive within a given set of bodily proportions. There is individual variance, but that is a largely recent development brought about by the genetic variation allowed in our larger populations.

Most guys are likely being truthful. They prefer a woman who has more amplified curves (though there is a point where higher fat ratios destroy the curves...). It's genetically wired into us, spare for the mutants.

That said - I think why guys tend to voice such a harsh opinion on the issue is a little thing known as the Red Queen. A primitive understanding of it is wired into our very being, plausibly at the genetic level. They know that there is a reason they have a preference for a certain figure - that it is undeniably attractive when a girl has a figure they like -and- know that's her 'natural' figure (she doesn't have to try for it). The suspicion that a woman is trying to deceive the ingrained preferences of guys (even if they are not successful) is seen as an afront to their nature - an attempt to get them to go against some natural order that exists for some unknown but perceived important reason.

I'm not denying the fact that there are women who compromise their health to be skinny. But there are also women who have a legitimate reason for it, such as a fast metabolism. I'm a male, but I have a fast metabolism, and my dad often says I belong on a charity commercial for starving children. I eat a lot... but still, joking or not, people pick on me for my weight (I'm not even THAT skinny... 5'9-5'10 135 pounds)

2. Feminism! This drives me insane. How this is still relevant, I don't know. It's getting to the point where males are the disadvantaged ones. My head literally blows when some women say things like, "I broke up with my boyfriend because I don't think he has the means to support me."

She said, "So the guy came to my house right on time, held the door for me, opened the car door, brought me to one of the fanciest restaurants, and pulled out my chair for me. Everything was perfect, until the end when he paid with a group-on coupon to get 50% off. After that I told him it was over and left." The second I heard that story I was so pissed off. Women almost want the same rewards as men, but never want to do the same work as men.

lol, truth, I know the radio hosts were having a debate, the guy was saying she was stupid for doing that while the girl was saying the guy should pay full price on the first date (I don't see why either way you had a nice date with good food)

I support you and this thread, I believe that this world is WWWWWAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY to opinionated. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, there is no right or wrong opinion because it is what you believe in. However, in this world when you have a different opinion than the rest, you get shunned for it. That is one of the biggest flaws this world has

I have been annoyed by a lot of things in the past, but here are a couple I can remember.


My reaction: you have fought for equal job opportunities and equal rights, but still you think you should be catered to! Most women still believe that it's up to their husbands to support them. You might say it's because they have to care for their children, but a lot of women don't have or even want children!

How many women still think like this.. where do you get your statistics from? The women I know in my life are mostly richer than me and would even offer to pay for my lunch..My wife makes her own money and does not rely on the ones i make (Although i do enjoy taking care of her by telling her to put away her money)

3. When people call heavier women "real women." If you look at an article with models in it, the comment section is always filled with people saying, "Eww! Look at those sticks! I prefer women who have more meat on their bones." It amazes me that people shun skinny women who make an attempt at being healthy, dismissing them as "fake", and then praise heavier women as being "real".

Again where do you get this facts from? In my experience fat people tend to have a rougher deal than how you make it out to be.

The point is,

You can choose your ideologies, which you're in control of. But you can't choose your skin color.

A lot of blacks choose a life of crime. A higher percentage than many whites.

That is a fact that can be criticised, but is often distorted as racism (often by people who just so happen to be advantaged by claiming it is racism). Yet those same people never make much effort towards correcting this error that happens to have a correllation with this choice in behavior... to the point where it has created a culture identified with that race.

The number of people who are legitimately racist in a belief that another race is -inferior- is exceptionally small compared to the overall population.

Even the Neo Nazi and KKK memberships are primarily driven by locals who have been dealing with the cultures (often racially oriented) that tend to embrace criminal behavior that has been particularly destructive to their communities. Change that culture - and the prejudice will begin to evaporate.

It makes you an legitimate MORON, to criticize something that's not changeable.

I agree with #1 and #4. I never know if the girl likes me or not. If they were 'allowed' to text first, it'd be alot easier to tell.
