Minato's skills

Hey guys don't mean to be a troll but I am uneducated in this matter and would like some light to be shed on it.

On NB I read threads EVERY DAY about how strong Minato is blah blah. We haven't seen his skills really.

1. Rasengan/Big Rasengan if that counts?
2. FTG
3. Reaper Death Seal

That's about it tbh... What makes the minato fanboys so confident he can beat Itachi and all of the other versus threads I've seen. FTG is speed that's all it is. Doesn't make someone invincible or the raikage wouldn't be flat on his ass right now & Minato wouldn't be dead.

Lets hear it guys what makes him so great? How could Minato beat Nagato or I dare say it, Itachi. How can he compare to the 2nd hokage? Any of the elite ninja of today . I say Kisame could beat minato high difficulty.

Again im not trying to troll I just want to hear others opinions.

Minato and Itachi are pretty much even in my opinion.

Why are you saying that FTG, Rasengan is like kids stuff.
He took Kjuubi bomb like it was nothing i would love to see Itachi doing that.
Beat Tobi in seconds, and destroyed Ay.
And no man has touched Minato while Itachi was bleeding every 30 seconds.
And many people tend to forget he had many sealing jutsus.

the same can be said the other way around... we dont know minato's true skill what makes u think itachi could beat him ...

honestly minato has performed one of the greatest feats in narutoverse... he hit obito who has kamui which no one has managed to hit until kakashi use his own kamui... minato also had to contend with the kyuubi.. getting his son and wife to safety... aswell as a MS hax obito with senju DNA and possibly zetsu armor and he still managed to beat him without much of a sweat... also imo Speed > power in narutoverse...

minato was also said to be a master of sealing jutsu's which kushina taught him ... sealing techsn are potentially the most lethal thing in narutoverse.. there is a reason the uzumaki clan was exterminated... mix this with the speed and reactions of minato and you have one deadly shinobi... i admit some of his techs might not be on such a large scale like others but its the way he uses his techs that make the difference

minato was said to be a prododgy that only appears once in a lifetime and i personally think that we havent even seen his true power yet :|

This is same as asking what makes 1st Raikage worthy of his tittle. We know nothing about him and yet he was a kage. So just wait and see, I believe Kishi will demonstrate the power of the Hokages via Edo body.

ftg is not speed its space time jutsu . his aresenal is small but seems effective . Tobirama might be the only hokage with less screen time then minato . Minato actually has a few feats to his credit . I dont know who wins between itachi and minato . Obviously they were both very strong .

I remember reading a thread where someone made the argument that minato did fail because he died. I still think its ignorance to think he failed and you're right. He is pretty smart and was a great kage but I still don't see how in a fight if it was to happen , he could compare to the other ninja.

Itachi was very sick after the time skip that's why he was bleeding so much. He used medicine to prolong his life so sasuke could kill him eventually. So with his terminal illness and low chakra reserves Itachi was still more than impressive with his power.

i agree ^! the obito thing enlightened me and I do think minato is better than he was a few minutes ago when I posted this thread. I won't over rate him but I do think your points are valid and make a lot of sense. I wonder if Minato would be able to challenge obito again haha or even madara. would be really interesting.

Because like you said FTG is speed only ^ great but that's all he needs to > or equal itachi & whoever else speed and a kunai and he owns almost everyone in Naruto including Naruto I mean he gets props with only speed and A KUNAI! If you think about it, all the jutsu we see Naruto use and it helps him but say if Minato was the nine tails host and he already has FTG & rasengan.... but he also has BM KCM & SM (added abilities taken from Naruto) he is already top 5 with speed & a kunai adding more is just OP. Minato is so fast the fastest in the manga/anime that he can warp faster than Itachi can spon genjutsu (and he already have 3 tomoe ready so thats faster than he can think) He can moved so fast (warped like 3 times) while raikage is in the same spot. Minato only needs that to beat anyone in the manga.

He owns Nagato because well if itachi can throw kunais to his blind spot and he not realize...Minato would just kill him.

What does Itachi have that can kill or even touch Minato? 3 tomoe is useless because he's faster than human eyes.

He can warp Itachi and Susanoo into space need i say more...? FTG > Kamui because he warped the nine tails and its much bigger than the 8 tails. As far as plot no jutsu goes Minato has only been hurt by a piece of wood.

What I'm trying to say is if you can hit him (which no one in the manga can) you can't kill or beat him.

A finger genjutsu is very weak when compared to itachi's sharingan genjutsu.Something even naruto,with crappy chakra control almost managed to break out from.Minato will easily break out of it.
Itachi can't control the flames unlike sasuke.He can't make the flames go out and he has to make a huge risk if he intends to use amaterasu.It drains a significant amount of his chakra and minato can always pop around until Itachi is exhausted.
