When they first said they killed their dragons I already had a very strong suspicion as they became members of Saber 7 years ago, meaning they killed their dragons when practically still being children. That's just stupid. However then Sting clearly said in his fight with Natsu that he did not beat his dragon, he killed him. On top of that Igneel also said he wanted to see what the dragon slayers Vicelogia and Skaedrum 'created' are worth. If they did the same as Igneel, there wouldn't really have been a reason to say that, unless they did something Igneel, Metallicana and Grandene didn't do.

So yeah it was pretty much certain that they let themselves be killed. It was just not certain for why, though that it was to make them stronger was an easy deduction.

Wow, that's actually quite good. Honestly, i never connected the dots, I just thought he was saying that because they were younger dragon slayers than Natsu wendy and gajeel.

But still we've seen makarov be able to keep acnologia in place in the tenrou island so that the younger ones can escape. Also, while I understand that dragon slaying magic is meant to kill dragons, the way it's depicted here is wrong. As happy said at the first chapter, the dragonslayin magic converts the body to a dragon's constitution. The spells make them partly dragon. Not necessarily slayers though. I would imagine it would still take alot of effort to even bring the dragon down from the skies no?

Finally some explanation that made perfect sense the slayers will become stronger by bathing in there blood and then gaining even more power to gang up and beat the black beast of destruction

Ya know this is going to look really bad on the dragons parts when they all get beaten.......6 of the 7 Dragon Slayers are beaten, battered, bruised, and even bloodied, with only 1 fresh Dragon Slayer entering the mix.

1st Generation Dragon Slayers:

2nd Generation Dragon Slayers:

Laxus, Cobra

3rd Generation Dragon Slayers:

Sting, Ryos (Rogue)

And if Fairy Tail is lucky after all is said and done I have a slight feeling the three outsiders will join Fairy Tail. I don't know why but I just have that feeling

Madara/Obito= F.Rouge+Seven Dragons


Acnologia appears, he can't beat F.Rouge and his 7 dragons. So Acnologia partners up with Natsu FOR THAT ONE TIME ONLY!! The whole we share a common enemy term is applied.

It was a great chapter , thank god Cobra is back , it seems he is the first villainous character i ever missed in anime/manga.

But there will now be a lot of ass pulls in order to defeat these 7 dragons , let us not forget Natsu struggled to harm a dragon up until he started raging at the end of the chapter.And so far i can only see him and Laxus (out of all the dragon slayers) able to defeat a dragon.

There needs to be a new term in Fairy Tail online slang for ass pulls , maybe Plot Manipulation Magic?

well WHAT IF. bringing dragons in the present makes the dragons slayers strongers. Like what rouge was transpired in the manga acnologia dominated the human world 7 years after. if dragons slayers defeated those 7 dragons maybe t hey can fight acnologia on equal grounds if he appears afterwards. I also think dragon slayers will join fairy tail. Macarov also said the prediction is going true or something like that when gajeel/wendy (don't remember) joined their fairy tail .
Either it was for this day or maybe to go against acnologia.

My prediction; Wendy, Natsu, Igneel, Cobra, Laxus, Gajeel, Sting and Rogue fight the dragons, defeat them, and they will gain strength, find out new powers during their battles and get stronger by defeating them (No, they won't bath in their blood), and eventually Acnologia will appear, and try to kill the all above stated people along with F.Rogue (He will in fact act individually) when the above people, along with the seven dragons will team up and try to beat Acnologia since Natsu will manage to put some words in the dragons their ears, and surpass F.Rogue his magic of capable of taming them.

That was already confirmed a while back. Zirconis explained in the Dragon Graveyard that Acnologia was originally a dragon slayer that bathed in the blood of too many dragons and as a result transformed himself into a dragon.

Also it's quite a popular anecdote regarding dragons. In the Nibelungenlied the hero Siegfried slew a dragon and bathed in its blood to become invulnerable, however one part of his body got covered by a leaf. Eventually he would be killed by having that spot pierced.

Epic chapter!! Didn't realise it came out till today, nearly a week later!! Was prepared to wait another week or something.

Cobra is back! Was always a fan of Cobra, he and Natsu had a really interesting fight earlier on in the series and glad that he hasn't been forgotten, Natsu also has not forgotten about him either and knows what he is capable of. Also if anyone watched that anime filler arc before the Grand Magic games, then you will understand why Cobra has had a change of heart.

Also thought I had a feeling that Rogue and Sting did not kill their dragons intentionally, this chapter confirms it!

Yep I want 7 chapters, each dedicated to the 7 individual fights but I know I'll never get it.

Future Rogue is from a different timeline, whatever current Rogue does it will not affect him at all.
