That young man could quite possibly be Obito as well though. Just saying. Think of it like this, Madara and Obito are like the alternates of Jiraiya and Naruto. Minato was originally Obito's teacher but then Madara took him under his wing. Same goes for Kakashi and Naruto and how Jiraiya came and took Naruto under his wing.

~ I don't know why everyone thinks that Madara is a fool for falling for the clone technique. Many other ninjas fell for it when facing against Naruto. Obviously Madara was out of chakra, I mean who wouldn't from an intense fight like that. His sharingan was deactivated so he couldn't predict any of Hashi's moves leaving Hashi the opening to finish him off. The #1 rule to being a ninja is to always be more decisive then your opponent and to never let your guard down. Once you let your guard down it can be over for you unless u have tons of luck on your side

Kishi is a genius, his ability to tell stories within stories is awesome.
I have seen so many people saying that how could Madara have been fooled by Hashirama's wood clone when he claimed that he was the only one who could see through Hashirama's wood clone... the reason is simple: he wasn't concentrating because after the explosion, his EMS got turned off as they clashed if u look properly, hence without the sharingan he couldn't see through it.
Anyway this kinda tells us what is to come if Sasuke persists and try to fight Naruto... Naruto will last longer and in the end Sasuke will be caught out by Naruto's kage bushin no jutsu.
Even Itachi holds Naruto higher and he is also good at reading the future and he has said that Naruto is not just the only one that can stop Sasuke, but he made it more concrete by saying he will definitely stop Sasuke especially when he saw Naruto in KM when they met with Pain as well believing so.

To be honest though they don't show it, Madara could have possibly got the DNA when he injured Hashirama's left arm and/or from the wood clone which may have had traces of Hashirama's DNA on it. We'll find out soon though!

Can it be possible that he used the same clone technique as the Eight tales? Use a part of him to copy himself?
Or maybe use the same style as the second mizukage (I think) - The one with Particle demolition style - where he just splits himself in two?
He could also have been mortally wounded earlier and just used a clone to escape.. It was said he first died AFTER the fight by that glassed-snake guy (who controls the zombies).
Imo, there are several options...
To the ones that says he might have been healed.. I just say, by who? It was first at the second hokage's time that anyone knew medical ninjutsu... (Invented or w/e it's called)
My opinion is it was a poorly drawn episode, I couldn't make heads or tails of half the fight.. Anyways, I like the story behind the drawings though.. Overall 3/5
I agree with you completely and I believe the Hashirama wood bushin that was left behind is the Hashirama that was attached to the big tree producing the zetsu clones and keeping Madara alive until his actual death.

I really enjoyed the chapter. Impressed with the fact that not only did Hashirama have his Few Thousand Hands Mokuton Statue, but also his wood dragon AND his wooden giant golem. Just how much Chakra does he have.
I can understand why he decided to exclude madara of leadership of the Leaf, as his role of Hokage means he must protect it.
I rate madara for his barrage of Bijuu bombs. And glad Kishi has returned to present day.
Makes me wonder tho: WHO helped madara to heal? Mito Uzumaki? hmmmm well... i guess we'll find out.

Madara got killed because of his pride, he thought he won and deactivated his sharingan- dumbass, still one of my fav chars...
I was hopping to see Uzumaki Mito, but I guess there's still time or something, well we will see about that later!
That big ass statue wasn't a disappointment at all, since it took about 11 Bijuu damas+susano'o sword, and it didn't even fell, and it was capable of breaking the legendary perfect susano'o by punching it 2000 time, literally. Not to mention the fact that it trapped Kurama with his hand...- showing the best power Hashirama's sage mode gives him, justifying clearly why he IS the god of shinobi.
Loved Hashirama's decision of finally protecting the village, putting peace above all else, even his friend that was lost in the darkness...
The best flashback Kishimoto has ever shown us, and it finnally ended. But if he had included Mito on them it would be more cooler, I was really hoping to see her as it would give us some hints to who will be Naruto's wife.
I mean, Hashirama=Naruto ( personality, not power), so it's only logical Hashirama's wife= Naruto's wife (altough we all know it's Hinata), and not to mention Kishi could also have included something regarding the Uzumaki clan, but perhaps minato can do that.
This chapter got me all hyped for what will Minato's question be, if there is one, after all he was called the saviour, perhaps he can change Sasuke's heart, a little bit at least, enough for him to help in the war...
So, it clearly deserves a 5/5, too bad the scale's maximum is only 5... XD

I don't know if anyone has asked this yet, but could it be possible that Madara took Hashirama's cells from the remains of the Wood Clone??? It seems logical right?

It looks to me that Madara clearly knew that the only way for him to obtain the rinnegan was to come close to death thus the reason for him attacking the leaf multiple times. He basically provoked Hashirama until he was pushed to make the decision to either kill or be killed. This was a pretty good chapter but it still left room for imagination mainly as to how he survived and when he actually awoke his rinnegan. By the way hi guys I'm new to the base but i've been a fan of this manga

I think since so many people disliked him, he left and looked for Hashi to be the one to "kill" him. That way Hashi becomes a hero, Madara can put his real dream in place.. and at the right time he could make it happen.
As far as chapter goes, I give it a low 5/5 almost a 4/5. We did get to see the final fight in what a shinobi means.. but I already knew that "A shinobi is one who endures." You change in order to meet your goals.. however, we have yet to hear what the other Hokage have to say. So Sasuke most likely won't say an actual answer quite yet.. it'd be stupid if they were just summoned to be there and not to put their two cents in.
Also.. he is giving Sasuke the freedom to choose because that's the truth, he wanted the damn truth and Hashi wasn't going to be like a parent and be like "What you're doing is wrong, you're on the wrong path." He wants Sasuke to seriously question his motives and past actions. When Minato brings up the 9 tails attack (which is needed to get to the final answer) that is when Sasuke will change his path.. the only masked man that can control the 9 tails would have to be "Madara" Which means he was lied to AGAIN... and that will shift his hate onto them and not the village (atm).

Yep, mostly he did use that wood clone. He has Hashirama's face transplanted onto his body. Unless he cut off Hashirama's head, i don't see where he got that head from.
He wood release is powerful as Hashirama's because, as Madara said himself. Those wood clones are special, they are not ordinary clones...they can actually take damage and use same jutsu's on the same scale as the original meaning the DNA is the same as getting it from his blood

The reason he said that was because Madara turned his back on the village and was no longer part of it. He said "our, no, my village." So credit was there but once he beat Madara, it was no longer his any more but the first.

Great chapter, the size of Hashi's summon is ridculous lol it held the Kyubi in one hand like it was nothing. Also like how Hashi finally accepted that he couldn't save Madara anymore. That's why he finally stopped calling it "our" village and instead "my" village
