Naruto can just make a couple dozen clones and take him out.

Itachi may be a great character with his sharingan but he isn't fighting 20 Narutos who can spam shurikens, rasengans or even FRS.

He still has Shasow clones, immense Hand seal speed, and Shuriken/Kunai proficiency. If it wasn't for the Tajuu Kage Bunshin, Naruto wouldn't stand a chance.

Yeah, sadly base itachi's best card: Genjutsu is useless on a perfect jink. He's definitely a lot better than naruto in the taijutsu department, however Naruto is no slouch himself, being able to hold his own against Deva path opponents and isn't that much slower than current sasuke, so with the help of a few shadow clones Naruto should be able to fight on par.

Itachi is not super durable, he is easily pierced by cave stalagmites. A normal rasengan will end him if it hits him (and this is true for any shinobi without super durability). Yeah, my money would definitely be on Base Naruto taking this high difficulty.

This fight already happened, Itachi one shotted Naruto with finger genjutsu.

Even if genjutsu is off the table Naruto isn't going to just win with simple kage bunshin spam. Itachi is a lot faster than base Naruto not to mention he can use wide area jutsus as well as great shuriken jutsu and can use clones himself.

This battle would go like part 1 Naruto vs Kimi, because base Naruto sucks extremely hard.
