I'm not sure about that, I think Oro will have a very hard time doing that, he's even beginning to show problems controlling Hashi.

Hahaha some of the best layed plans are the simple ones! Anyways I've been thinking that this is one of the more simplistic solutions aside from some ungodly and random sealing Jutsu.

I think as opposed to actually distracting Obito, the plan may even be to drain enough of his chakra to where by the time he could have gathered chakra to return, the Juubi would already be separated again. And who knows exactly how the Kamui demension operates....could even end up being that he can't regenerate chakra

EDIT: As far as dealing with the rest of the Juubi, it will probably be some manner of separating it back into the respective Tailed Beasts. After that, destroy the Gedo Statue even more, and that way Obito cannot simply just try again!

Well there's no absolute certainty of success, but I firmly believe Shikaku had this in mind.

Wow, very nice hypothesis! I didn't saw the connection before, now you enlighten almost all of us. This might be Shikaku's final plan to defeat the jubi, and the only counter I could think of for Tobi or Madara is to use Izanagi.

At any rate, I honestly believed that the Edo-Hokage's are the ones to stop Jubi/Tobi/Madara, with Naruto's assistance.

I'm not sure about that, I think Oro will have a very hard time doing that, he's even beginning to show problems controlling Hashi.

i think he lost complete control of hashi according to both of them...so he already has senju dna so while madara is fighting hashi
oro has dibs on sasuke so obito and madara will fight for him because he will be with oro and madara wants to become the jubi's host and sasuke could get rinnegan maybe even via oro taking his body , and obito will be the odd man out kinda, unless madara tries to control him with jutsu and force him to use rinne tensei

yeah thats what i think, he will take sasuke's body then, maybe with naruto's help or obito's or since zetsu is from madara and hashi that one of them could control the zetsu part of oro and make oro lose sasuke's body then naruto and sasuke will fight oro maybe

Well, someone did point out why did Kishi make it 6 instead of 5 Zetsus? since what was needed by plot was only five bodies (four for the Hokages and one for Oro) so some suspect that the Zetsu Jugo absorbed might transfer to Sasuke and make him awaken the Rinnegan, at least that's what they said.

I think that Hashirama would show up and with the power of Naruto's Kurama chakra, gain the power to restrain the Juubi. Another possible way is to somehow get the Juubi to hit itself with its own attacks but I'm not entirely sure how that would work.
