We haven't seen any or almost nothing of that yet. It's useless to ask for something we haven't seen. But just because we haven't seen it, doesn't mean they don't have it. That's a weak argument.

We've only seen 2 or 3 fights with Minato, and it's obvious we haven't seen everything of him. Minato wasn't called extremely fast for nothing. It wasn't just for his FTG.

After reading the OP, I just can't understand your point. Who ever claimed his base speed was impressive?, I don't think there's manga evidence to claim that, but surely there's no manga evidence to discredit it either, just because he only used FTG and shunshin it doesn't mean his base speed can't be good, keep in mind that ''14 years old'' can defeat a lot of strong people with just one jutsu. This is just a not so subtle hate thread.

minato's base speed is good and he had MONSTER reflexes, the fastest shinobi is the one who can go from point A to point B the quickest, and it doesn't matter how he gets there (jumping, running, teleporting ..... whatever).

I don't understand what you're arguing then... He grabbed Naruto with his base speed, he just went ahead and grabbed him which shows that he has impressive base speed.

Also we haven't seen that many of Minato's fights. I believe the only ones we've seen are Minato vs A and Bee, and Minato vs Obito.

You asking us to state feat's that he hasn't shown...

He knew that Obito was able to in-tangle himself, thus why he never used anything other than FTG, because anything slower than an instant wouldn't be fast enough... Thus, why would he use normal speed against an opponent he couldn't possibly hit?

The only other fight we've seen him in was the fight against Raikage, which is another incredibly fast shinobi were normal speed is rendered useless, due to Raikages incredibly speed, thus why he used FTG.

Minato is probably one of the only characters that we've seen fighting people that are incredibly strong.... He's not going against chumps that he can easily play with... They've already been incredibly fast, or hard to hit, which is why he's already resorted to FTG. Anything slower, and he wouldn't be able to hit them.... No other ninja would be able to simply hit those ninja.

Naruto has failed to directly hit Obito without help... I don't understand why you would created a thread to degrade Minato's abilities by asking for feat's that he's not shown? Specially when we've seen him in battle twice...

I believe that people refer to base speed as nothing other than FTG....

Noone has shown true base speed that is worthy of mentioning..

So just like some Itachi ''fans'' saying Totsuka blitzes GG Hashirama, or yata mirror blocking every attack basing this on a no limit fallacy, this thread is pointless, many people exaggerate in favor of their favs. we know that already, still you can't prove Minato's base speed is bad, and it looks even more biased when you mention the ''14 years old'' thingy to make him look worse.

When considering a shinobi's "base" speed, since they are never shown running without chakra, then their shunshin is automatically considered as part of their speed.

The only people exempt from this would be Lee and possibly Guy since they use no chakra at all when fighting.

Overall, I would say that Minato's base speed is comparable to Guy, Itachi, and A in their base shunshin speed.
