Should the UK become a Republic like the United States or should it remain a Constitutional Monarchy with a Prime Minister as Head of State with a Ruling Monarch as a Constitutional Sovereign and why?

Leave it the way it is. Plus the monarchy is a grand tradition.

Nah, it should remain unchanged. Why? I don't know, I live in the United States.

We have been a Monarchy since 613, we're not going to change it now.

Also you shouldn't concern yourself with it.

Yes, but the absolute monarchy was effectively disbanded when King William III signed the Bill of Rights when he dethroned his Catholic father in law King James II turning the UK into a constitutional monarchy, though politically the absolute monarchy of England collapsed upon the execution of Charles I

Thank you for telling me something I already know, but regardless to change it now would cause more harm then good.

And why is that? I see no detrimental economical factors to dissuade them from changing the system if government.

You haven't considered the people who support the monarchy. To change it now would cause a pointless uprising which would lead to riots and death.

Besides if she wanted to the Queen could just recall all the power and make the Monarchy absolute.

Well sir if you truly know your history well you would know that it is beyond the power of the Queen to dismantle government since the Bill of Rights have limited her Royal powers from doing such, the only powers she has remaining is the Royal Prerogative, but that too is limited since Parliament can only be dissolved in times of war, also I do not think anarchy would result if the Queen was dethroned, her influence is cultural but not political.

While true her power has been limited greatly and nowadays she's mainly used as a figure head to flaunt around the whole " Hey we have a queen". She still can recall the power from the Prime Minister.

Besides becoming a republic serves no point in the long run, and I never said anarchy just small uprising which would still lead to pointless riots, destruction, and death.

And I don't feel like dieing for something so pointless.

Like I have stated the Royal Prerogative is severely limited, it is a misconception in the minds of the British that she could just take the mantle of power back if she truly desires, she is at the mercy of Parliament, and not the other way around, becoming a Republic like the United States would serve beneficial since Parliament would no longer have to supply her or her family with a budget.

I thought your country was a Democracy?, But regardless there's no pint in changing it now. Besides the royal family is a part of our history and identity we won't change that for anyone.

It is true that they are culturally significant but the same thing can be said of the wax figures displayed in the Tower of London, the wax figures provide income, the Royal Family takes income.

And yes sir we are a republic because we are a representative democracy.

True it's annoying that they get the income, also when they do the meet and greets.

You see I work as security guard for a mall and Prince harry and Duchess Katherine were doing the usual meet and greet. I and two other security guards were task to show them around.

Longest four hours of my life.
