Hello there Stencil. What made you choose to learn the secrets of the Wind? And what do you already know about Wind and how it relates to us ninja?

Hello Typhon-Sensei!

The reason why I wanted to learn the secret ways of the wind is because it appeals to me in many ways. I think it would help me improve current&future techniques and I know it is a vital element to learn if you wish to be a great ninja.
Fuuton/Wind is one of the basic five elements and the abilities of the wind element is it can sharpen weapons or further your range with smaller weapons. Wind attacks vary from long to mid range attacks and can also help increase the speed in other techniques.

Wind attacks for the most part are actually short-mid range, not long, though there are some that will reach that long.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of the element? How would you describe the chakra used for the wind element?

The chakra used for the wind element has to be channeled through the body at all times when used it, instead of just one part. This is because it adds to strength and to some extent, speed. Also, when being released from the body to deal damage, it needs to be compressed, tight and sharp as to cut directly through its target and to not swing off course.
Advantages of wind are that when used right, it can cut through anything. It can also be mixed with water and/earth to create a devastating combination of attacks. Wind is the basis behind all powerful and scourging, pinpoint, sharp attacks that are able to slice and pierce.
However, it's disadvantages are that it can easily be countered by itself and some techniques can be easy to dodge. It is also very uneffective against fire, which can spread the flames and could potentially deal more damage back to yourself.

Nope. There really aren't many wind techniques where this would be the case. The only one I can think of is maybe Temari's Wind Sickle Armor.

What happens if you combine fire and wind? What happens when you mix wind with each of the other basic elements?

It's strong against lightning because it neutralizes it somewhat an, wind doesn't let lightning pass through, it acts like an insulator and not as a conductor.

Fire is strong against wind because it enhances the flame. Mixing wind chakra/techniques with fire can create a devastating combo. Oxygen is what fire feeds off and wind, carrying this element, just helps the fire rage on in right amounts of quantity.
Wind can mixed with earth to propel larger objects/pieces if terrain, it can also slice through it. Wind mixed with water can produce tsunami like attacks and be a great, wide attack. It can also be used to concentrate it and again, slice through skin.
With lightning it suppresses it and does not do as much damage or use as other elements mixed.

Basic types of wind techniques involve cutting and slicing. The characteristics of wind are smooth on the outside but sharp if fast, concentrated and compact enough. Wind is also used to do many things, I.E, to create energy and make things run. Wind is an all mighty element and is one that is prevalent everywhere at all times. Wind is free and unnoticed but has devastating effects when at its fullest potential.

I sit down and cross my legs, relaxing and breathing heavily through my nose, and out through my mouth. I feel a fresh cold breeze on my face and I think about the first time I climbed a mountain cliff, with baffling air hitting against my face, but surprisingly calm and relaxing. I put my hands together and beging to meditate.

Still keeping myself meditating and have my mine on the wind, I stay focused. I feel a slight nudge on my head but I stay relaxed because I don't sense any danger... >_> <_<

*Notices a slight twitch on your face in response to the rock*

Bah! Not good enough! Focus harder! Feel the wind, become the wind!

* I assume my meditation position again. I focus so hard on the wind, I can feel the slight breeze of air mix with my thin line of chakra in the outside of my body. I let myself be engulfed by the wind, and soon, a faint breeze starts to feel like a miniature gale.

I feel a rock hit against my head but I again, ignore it to the best of my ability and do not react, not even flinch and continue to meditate and feel a typhoon of wind inside me.

Now, take this leaf and place it between your palms. Use your wind to cut the leaf in half.

Okay Senpai!

I take the leaf from Typhon-Sensei and place it between both of my palms. I then focus on my wind chakra, and channel it around my body, I then remember the leafs falling in Konoha on a breezy summer day. As I think about this I press my hands tighter and let the wind chakra strem down to my hands, attempting to cut the leaf.

As you channel the wind chakra, a small cut forms in the base of the leaf.

Good! Keep going, add more chakra and make it sharper! Describe the movements and nature of the wind as you're focusing it!
