As you know, most of team seven has had a very close relationship with Team hiruzen; Kakashi being a loyal Shinobi under Hiruzen; Jiraiya being Naruto's godfather; and Tsunade being Sakura's hokage/teacher. But what about Orochimaru and Sasuke?
Orochimaru and Sasuke never had a very close relationship, but the manga is giving hints about them becoming close. Like in the last chapter, Orochimaru apparently told Sasuke a secret to why he destroyed Konoha, he told the Hokage that he was on his side, and he tried to protect Sasuke when Tobirama was getting angry.
Tobirama also said, "When Uchiha love and lose, their sorrow turns into hatred and makes them stronger." Or something along those lines.
If Sasuke and Orochimaru become close, and Orochimaru permanently dies and somehow can't come back, Sasuke might get his power boost that way.
He already has a unstabalized perfect susanoo
If Sasuke loses someone yet again, his susanoo might stabalize, and he'll be pissed. Thus making him close to the level of Bm Naruto.
But that's not all it might do: (his part is pushing it tho)
It was hinted that Naruto will eventually be able to mix Kurama with his sage mode, like here
Sasuke with even Perfect Susanoo, STILL CAN'T beat that. But if Orochimaru dies, Sasuke may respect his teacher more and begin to train with snakes at the Ryuchi cave eventually.
So while Naruto's training to mix toad sage mode and Kurama, Sasuke could be training for Snake Sage mode.
So by the end, it'll be Bm+TSm Naruto vs Ps+Dsm Sasuke.
