That hype was proven to be a hyperbole the moment it failed to cut through naruto's kyuubi skin

Well the manga has said so many things that would contradict other statements. Such as one of the 7 swordman's blades that is able to crush any defence. Putting it against the Yata Mirror which is said to block all attacks would wind up contradicting one or the other.


But anyways, if anything it does seem like it would be able to tank any attack that comes in contact with the shield. Itachi himself though could be attacked from within Susanoo.

In other words it would be more like, "Yata Mirror can tank any attack"
