Haha, that’s a pretty spot on explaination of it and you pretty covered a bit of things I intended to mention when it was my turn to post. However I’ll still place my own little feedback of it, if you don’t mind. So, Yin Release – by my own thought is a powerful concept within the RP and Narutoverse. It’s ability that governs the spiritual half of chakra, which is usually a balanced raito. However, when utilizing Yin Release, the balanced ratio is immediately tipped on the axis, favoring the Yin Half, but like you mentioned Yang can never truly be absent from the ratio. As I was taught long ago this phrase “There’s a little bit of Yin in Yang and a little bit of Yang in Yin”. Sounds crazy but believe me, it will work wonders when it comes to crafting some customs in the near future. Now to narrow things a bit down, you having mentioned that abilities like Tayuya’s Doki and Naruto being jesus kun as examples. That’s great, but how about we elaborate a bit more on that concept.Yin-Yang is a Taoist philosophy, and to put it simply, Yin and Yang are two sides of the same coin, two halves of a greater whole keeping one another in a delicate balance. They are composed of polarized concepts, like Light and Dark, Male and Female, Hot and Cold, and so on, but despite being polar opposites, they are not in conflict with one another, for one cannot exist without the other. If there was no such thing as "hot", there would be no cold, as there would be nothing you could point to that would be different from what "cold" is, thus making cold all there was, and by extension nothing essentially. The existence of one is dependent on the existence of the other, and vice versa. And when you combine the two to create Yin-Yang, you achieve everything that is, or can be. A very simplified version of a complex concept, but that's my general understanding of it.
While I like to think have a decent grasp of Yin-Yang as a philosophy, and Yang Release as an ability within our RP, honestly I have trouble wrapping my head around even the most basic Yin, or Yin-related fields like Genjutsu when it comes to the RP. I understand that it's a field that governs spirituality and imagination, and can achieve many effects, including adding an Element to a Genjutsu, making it stronger and conditionally harder to break, and whatever Hungry Ghost is able to do, but I can't for the life of me think of how I could build on that to my advantage, or make Customs using the principles established within the series, and canon techniques. In the series, Yin Release is primarily seen in the form of Genjutsu, but it has been mentioned to have a link to many Clan's abilities, like the Nara who use it to give physical form to their shadows, form where there is none. One good example of the link between Yin and Yang as it related specifically to Yin is the idea that within one you can always find a small amount of the other. The example I'm aware of is Tayuya's Demon Flute Ghosts. Though they are primarily spiritual entities, they have some semblance of sentience, a concept primarily found within Yang Release, as they seek out and feast on Chakra and more specifically physical energy in an attempt to reach a balance between the two energies within themselves. The opposite example for Yang that I can remember off the top of my head is when Naruto used Yang Release to heal Kakashi's eye, restoring an entirely missing organ from nothing, giving form to that which did not exist, which is primarily governed by Yin. This can be best summed up when looking at the symbol for Yin-Yang, as you can see a small amount of black within the white and vice versa.
That's a general summary of my knowledge when it concerns Yin Yang, with emphasis on Yin. I know, you have your work cut out for you. My apologies.
Good points yea concerning the debuff thing, well tbh I don't think it would count until it actually applies to the person. The only thing i;ll add int too is that if the person you use it on is in SM, be aware that that the spirit wouldn't apply. Also note if also wont apply to techniques that dont have chakra in them as it will latch onto the person's chaka. If there's no chakra to latch onto int he technique then it wont happen. If there's nothing to say, here's the next technique:Another instance of a high Chakra technique being infused into existing Jutsu, adding the +10. This time it adds a parasitic entity into your own technique, with it's sentience speaking for the Yang to be found in this one. On contact with a foreign Chakra signature it creates a type of "tether" to the opposing target, weakening the technique your own clashed with, while following the opponent's Chakra back to it's source, and providing the same detrimental effect on their techniques for the next 4 turns, reducing their rank by 1. It can't be blocked or circumvented with regular techniques, but Yin, Yang, Yin-Yang or Natural Energy can prevent the tether from linking, or break it once it has been established. The part about only being usable on the same target twice make sense considering it can affect them for 4 turns each, meaning they're constantly fighting a debuff on every technique for 8 turns. Everything else is your standard affair, with the overall usage limit, and not being usable on Forbidden Rank Jutsu. Only thing I can think to note is that it would be really easy to **** up when you use this technique. This would count as a debuff as far as I'm aware, and would trigger the boosting limit rules, so if you use this, and then say boost your own Jutsu twice, there'd be a total of three buffs or debuffs on your side of any interaction or equation. Nothing else to say really, beyond the fact it's a solid effect, and I can see why everyone and their kitchen sink has
ripped it offincorporated it's ability into their own original creations.
