My buddy just shipped to marines bmt. Good luck if you plan on going for career or simply for the short term benefits. The Marines are not a walk in the park.

I would do it if I knew I could land a good position aside from being a soldier
of some sort. I loathe the thought of putting my many hated years of
school/learning on the line for an early death at war or something along those lines
that throws it to waste.

You could join the Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, or even just go reserves. I doubt you'll see combat in any of those branches(Though still possible, especially in the Army). As for picking a job you like, the Navy and Air Force give you some form of choice. You could go through processing and see which jobs you qualify for, if you like what you see you could join. If you don't you can just get a DEP discharge and be fine and act like it never happened.

Esp. seeing how soldier are now dying for greed of the rulers of this country. (They always did but things are getting more meaningless everyday)

I would maybe in 20yrs when the government is improved, since here in India Modi only just got elected as PM so that now the govt. is on a path to improvement, though getting the corruption completely away from whole system is going to take some time.

Aside from that despite of wanting to be trained for military, learning proper discipline, developing character/personality, and having skills all over both physical and survival, and wanting to serve my country, I don't think I will be much use on front lines having good intellect and all, and I dont want my services to be for the sake of the corrupt either, I am more of a technology guy, and I wouldn't do my best under any restrictions from somebody, so for now I plan on serving my country in the IT field by helping it develope technologically, doing something for it in that field(don't have a better idea of what else I can do for it as of now)

I would,as an officer. It is great way of life but I dnt fit their requirement. I was looking for a job after my diploma and I could be a weapons fitter. I will have to see after getting a degree.

Nope. There's honestly no need for soldiers in this day and age anymore. They're more like stopping power than an actual asset these days. Post WW2, there's no need.
