Why Raikiri can't protect kakashi from Kirin (in readable English)

Raikiri in literal english means lightning cutter, Might Guy in part 1 states he is able to cut lighting bolt in half
using this technique which is presumabley where it gets it's name. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Cutter requires better chakra control, which is shown in its appearance (raikiri is blue/chidori is white)

The problem of the oposing argument is that we are comparing;

A simple lightning bolt

To Kirin

  • A lightning bolt usually has enough volts to destroy a tree
  • Kirin completley obliterated a small mountain
  • It's true lightning travels at different speeds and kirin is stated to hit the ground at 1/1000th of a second
  • kakashi is stated to cut a single lightning bolt
  • Kirin is many lightning bolts maniefested by chakra and guided into one massive super destructive bolt according to databook 3 page 247
It's not the speed of lightning that matters, weather kakashi is fast enough to use raikiri against
kirin is pretty much irrelevent to his survival. If he does try to cut kirin in half it wouldn't matter becasue the blast would completley obliterate him. Comparing a lightning bolt to kirin is stupid to say the least no matter how good your use of vocabulary is.

Here's a thought. Sasuke guided the lightening from the thunder clouds by attracting it with Chidori, and that's how he's able to manipulate its shape. Then couldn't Kakashi do the same?
That is actually extremely interesting and very possible considering kakashi has a strong affinity to lightning.

I'm going to make a thread about this.
