Why Otsutsuki on Earth get Renamed while Moon still same

I dont see how Kishi have to renamed hyuga as Otsutsuki like if there is other different between them two. Why not he just continued with Byakugan stuff to Hyuga.

Hyuga and Otsutsuki both hv branch and main house. Both inheriting byakugan and come on same alien linage. Why Otsutsuki change name to hyuga.. ist necessary? why not develop hyuga first before introduce otsutsuki and make fans confuse with all byakugan stuff and family curse.

The way to awaken Tenseigan(Otsutsuki chakra+Byakugan) already tells you that they were different races.

I still dont get your point, so before otsutsuki eye get remove they all have tenseigan? i though the pure hamura chakura is needed for tenseigan to reborn and Hanabi tenseigan also a failure because he need Hinata tenseigan. Can you see my confusion, there is no need for Otsutsuki to be introduce if Kishi want to explain about byakugan he just need to continued story with hyuga and why hyuga affair is one of konoha high profile case.

let throw kaguya aside because she is special. mainstream Otsutsuki is only have byakugan and other famliy in earth is just hyuga like Toneri said. And yes both divide in main and branch house.

They are not the same, one could say that the Hyuga are impure, they bred with humans, this diluting their abilities and chakra. While the Otsutsuki are (were actually as now it's either Toneri sucks it up and breeds with humans, or just dies off as the last Otsutsuki) the pure clan, they interbreed and kept their chakras and abilities (which would explain why their physical traits have some weird mutations).

Kakashi merely said the secrets of the sharingan lie within the Hyuga. The Sharingan itself, comes from the Rinne Sharingan, or the Shinju, just like Rinnegan.

Hyuga are the result of Ootsutsuki and humans having children I believe.

Technically those on earth that in overtime, seperated into seperate clans while the ones on the moon remained the same.

Hagoromo's power divided between Uchiha (Indra) and Senju/Uzumaki (Ashura). When you bring the chakra of both together you get Rinnegan - Hagoromo.

Hamura's power divided between Hyuuga and Otsutsuki (This was the original clan from where Kaguya came from, either a few clan members merged with Hamura's clan or Hamura gave them his portion of Shinju/Kaguya's power). When you bring the chakra of both together, you get Tenseigan - Hamura (Toneri's Otsutsuki body + Hanabi Hyuuga's Byakugan).

At least that's the theory. I think Kishi just wanted to apply a duality with both Hagoromo and Hamura.
