Whose sacrifice is better? Minato's or Itachi's?

minato did a great sacrifice once.

but itachi's sacrifices are countless.......
even after his death he influences the story line verry much.
even after his death he still protects konoha and tries to bring sasuke back to his senses.

If i could choose i would chose itachi i mean even at a verry young age he just developped to fast and gained verry much power (prime itachi is like 14 years old if you didn knew) his love for his brother and konoha is above is his clan.
he also loves his clan but hated war he was traumatised and bla bla.


when there is someone who sacrifices for a longer period its itachi he is still fighting for peace.

While minato did also do a great job cause he saved konoha from the fox which could also destroy the village in seconds. lol.

But itachi gave up his clan for it dont forget it.

Minato sacrifice led to a direct goal> no destroy of konoha by 9 tailfox.
Itachi's led to:
Coup détat in konoha.
Protecting konoha from the akatsuki by joining them.
Killed nagato with the help of naruto and b.
Now on his way to kabuto to help the alliance win the war.

See it like this minato was they key to naruto Live's other wise he dead and the village.
so basicly and logicly itachi on a long period and short minato.

Itachi's sacrifice was a fair bit greater, but his choice was less smart than Minato's (both the result but also the logic behind it). Also, Itachi wanted Sasuke to be the hero who redeems the uchiha so he's not any different from minato in that aspect

Itachi's sacrifice is greater because, Sarutobi was around and could have taken care of the nine tails himself and minato will still be alive as hokage. But itachi killed off his clan who wanted to take over konoha. If he didnt do that, the uchiha's and konoha could have still been at war till today... xd

I personally think itachi's sacrifice is better than minato's. Killing an entire clan is better than killing himself or sacrificing himself along with his wife. Though minato is the savior he was selfish coz he wanted his son to be acknowledged as hero by the village. The similarities between both are both have sacrificed for the village and for their loved one.

Yes because killing an entire clan to preserve "peace" is the best way to go. The situation with the Uchila could of been resolved. Minato sacrificing himself to save the Village for wanting his Son to be acknowledged is selfish, and killing an entire clan so that Konaha won't be invaded, was not selfish.

Ok I will use an example then. If one of the states, let's say California in the USA decided to rebel against the Government and there were riots everywhere and instead of trying to resolve the situation they killed them all, and hired loads of people to do it, and all this was to maintain peace, would it be better? Because if they didn't settle the problem other Countries would try and invade them.

Get off Itachi's di*k! If killing men, woman, elders etc is not selfish, but Minato saving the village to seal Kurama is, and the majority agree that it is, then majority of people need to go into a mental hospital immediately. Actually it's just get off Itachi's ****, get off the Elders who plotted the massacre

Itachi killed his whole clan to spare Sasuke, had his sacrifice woud have heen a success, i'd say 'bout equal between the two, but since he failed, resulting only one Uchiha alive (a freakin evil one at dat), what Minato had done is a thousand worth of Itachi's sacrifices. Verdict being: Minato, the supahokage ye! (lol)

Itachi, he sacrificed himself to protect the ninja world, not just the leaf village as said the coup would probably have expanded and included other nations and the fourth great war would have started. Itachi is the greater sacrifice in my opinion. PS I like minato more but I'm unbiased.

back on topic, neither was better, they both were done by great people and both saved the village. at the same time minato's outcome is beter.

both sacrifices are meaningful and led to the peace of konoha. minato's sacrifice is a bigger one in core but itachi's still continuing to sacrifice himself for the entire ninja world now so his sacrifice is getting a bigger one than minato's.

It's a difficult question. Both did what they had to do to try and keep the peace. That says something in and of itself.

I personally believe Itachi's sacrifice to be "better". Mainly because he didn't take the cowards way out and he owned up to everything he did and lived with it. He wanted to die as a criminal and a traitor, accept disgrace in the place of honor, and hate in the place of love. It may not of worked out in the end, but atleast he tried.
