And what happens when the state appointed religious experts decide that research and development into scientific fields should be banned, or legislation for women's rights overturned, because it conflicts with religious principles?Having a state religion isnt a problem. It forcing it to those who arent a part of it thats the problem.
Freedom of religion and the existence of state religion dont have to be mutually exclusive.
Everyone must respect their parents and never hurt them. And parents should not compare their children to others.

You do know it can go the other way around, right? Not all parents are good.
And what of abusive parents ? Fathers who beat their kids in a drunken rage etc? Such legislation would be patently reckless.
Ideally speaking ? I'd make it a dictatorship. Then I'd divide the country in two areas. One for the high quality people and one for the trashes. Birds of a feather should just flock together.
The selection would be made by myself based on my own criteria.
