yet the one technique we did see (which may or may not be intrinsic to every female Uzumaki similar to how the sharingan awakens in every uchiha) was the Sealing Chains which held down the strongest Bijuu and decimated the strongest shinobi's jutsu

I'd go with hyuuga, kaguya, jugos clans imo since Uzumaki were blown away around mito-kushina (kid) time of life and they are also of the blooded clans wich out lasted the uzumaki.

Oh I see what you mean. I'm sure back during the feudal periods the uzamaki clan were referred to one of the most powerful clan before they got wiped out. Because when the Uchiha's were basically gone they Hyuuga stepped up and self proclaimed themselves as the strongest clan of the leaf.

3rd most powerful would be Juugos clan. They all had the innate ability to harness nature energy. Basically they were all low key sage mode users.

In a combative sense no they are not (Hyuga>Uzumaki) but if we're talking displays of power yes (Uzumaki>Hyuga).

So the battle for the third spot is subject.
